• 246 mm standard ground clearance
• Full-size spare wheel

Summary

This 2018 Wrangler Sport represents a well-maintained entry into the JL generation, featuring the proven Pentastar V6 engine that remains a favorite for its reliability in high-temperature environments. With just 52,000 km, this vehicle is exceptionally low-mileage for its age, especially in a market where 20,000 km per year is the standard. The black exterior is a high-demand choice in the GCC, ensuring strong visual appeal and simplified resale when the time comes. As a five-door Unlimited model, it provides the wheelbase stability preferred for long highway stretches between emirates while retaining iconic Jeep modularity. For anyone looking for a rugged, mechanically sound 4x4 that hasn't been over-driven, this listing is a standout opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2018 Wranglers

At 52,000 km, this Wrangler has covered significantly less ground than the typical 120,000 to 150,000 km seen on most 2018 models in the GCC. The black-on-black aesthetic is a perennial favorite in the local market, holding its value better than more niche colors. This low-usage profile makes it a rare find for a buyer seeking a JL-generation Jeep with minimal mechanical wear.

Sport vs Lower Trims

The Sport serves as the foundation of the Wrangler lineup, offering the essential Command-Trac 4x4 system that GCC enthusiasts often prefer for its simplicity and ease of modification. Compared to two-door variants, this five-door Sport adds a larger fuel tank for extended desert range and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat for family practicality. It provides a pure, mechanical driving experience without the complex electronic sway-bar disconnects or lockers found in higher trims.

Wrangler vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Toyota FJ Cruiser offer retro styling, the Wrangler leads with its completely removable roof and doors, a feature unmatched for open-air winter driving in the UAE. The 3.6L V6 offers more horsepower than the four-cylinder turbo options found in many modern crossovers, providing the low-end torque necessary for climbing dunes. Its tight turning circle and solid axles give it a distinct advantage in technical off-roading over independent suspension competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The Pentastar V6 is engineered to run efficiently on widely available petrol grades, with real-world combined consumption averaging around 11.8 L/100km. Service intervals in the GCC are typically recommended every 10,000 km for road use, or every 5,000 km if frequently tackling desert terrain. Jeep enjoys an extensive authorized service network and vast aftermarket parts availability across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, contributing to its status as one of the best value-retaining vehicles in the 4x4 segment.

Performance & Capability

Delivering 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, this Wrangler is well-suited for both highway overtaking and soft-sand exploration. The 246 mm of ground clearance allows it to navigate rocky wadis and dunes with confidence right out of the box. The Command-Trac part-time 4WD system includes a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio, providing the mechanical leverage required for steep inclines and recovery situations commonly encountered in regional off-roading.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed for durability and ease of cleaning after a weekend in the sand, featuring high-quality cloth upholstery that stays cooler in the summer than leather. The air conditioning system is specifically designed to handle extreme heat, with rear-passenger cooling aided by the extra cabin volume of the five-door layout. A Uconnect touchscreen with a rearview camera ensures modern convenience while navigating tight parking spots or technical trails.

Safety

Standard safety features include electronic stability control with roll mitigation, which is vital for high-profile vehicles on GCC highways. The Sport trim includes multistage front airbags, supplemental side airbags, and a high-strength steel frame designed for impact protection. Traction control and brake assist come standard, providing extra security during the rare but heavy regional rainstorms and on slippery gravel surfaces.

The bottom line

Perfect for the enthusiast who wants a low-mileage, blank canvas JL Jeep, this Wrangler offers the ideal balance of daily usability and legendary off-road potential in a sought-after color.
