Summary

This 2019 Audi Q7 55 TFSI presents a highly versatile option for GCC families, offering the ideal balance of the potent 3.0L V6 engine and a spacious seven-seat cabin. The black exterior remains the most sought-after color in the UAE used market, ensuring strong resale liquidity and a timeless executive presence. With the 55 TFSI powertrain, you gain significantly smoother highway overtaking and better high-temperature performance compared to the four-cylinder alternatives. This regional-spec SUV is perfectly suited for long-distance hauls between emirates, providing a refined and stable ride even when fully loaded with passengers and cargo.

This Car vs Other 2019 Q7s

While 134,000 km is slightly above the typical low-mileage threshold for its age, it reflects a vehicle used for its intended purpose: long-distance GCC highway cruising. In this market, a well-maintained V6 model with higher mileage is often preferred over a low-mileage 4-cylinder due to the engine's superior durability and cooling performance in extreme heat. The black finish further adds to its appeal, as it remains a top-tier choice for resale value in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

55 TFSI vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the 55 TFSI replaces the 2.0L engine with a much more robust 3.0L V6, a critical upgrade for the GCC climate where the extra power helps the AC system and drivetrain cope with 45°C+ temperatures without strain. This trim typically introduces the Audi Virtual Cockpit as standard, providing a full digital 12.3-inch display that is highly valued by local buyers. Additionally, the 55 TFSI models often feature upgraded leather upholstery and enhanced sound insulation compared to the entry-level 45 TFSI.

Q7 vs Segment Rivals

The Q7 stands out against the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE by offering a genuinely usable third row of seats as standard, whereas many rivals in this year were strictly five-seaters or required expensive options. Its 85-litre fuel tank is one of the largest in the segment, offering superior range for cross-border trips to Oman or Saudi Arabia. Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system provides a more planted feel on rain-slicked city asphalt and loose gravel than the more rear-biased systems of its competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 55 TFSI typically averages around 11.5 L/100km, performing efficiently during steady highway speeds between 120–140 km/h. Maintenance follows a standard 15,000 km interval in the UAE, with a vast network of authorized service centers and specialized independent garages available across the GCC. While European luxury SUVs experience higher initial depreciation than Japanese counterparts, the Q7 55 TFSI maintains a stable 12-15% annual value retention thanks to its reputation for mechanical reliability.

Performance & Capability

With 333 hp and 440 Nm of torque, the supercharged V6 delivers immediate response, reaching 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds. This performance is particularly noticeable when merging onto fast-moving highways like Sheikh Zayed Road, where the 8-speed Tiptronic transmission ensures smooth power delivery. It also boasts a substantial 3,500 kg towing capacity, making it a capable companion for those who need to transport jet skis or trailers for weekend adventures.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat configuration is highly flexible, featuring power-folding third-row seats that allow for a flat loading floor when extra cargo space is needed. Audi’s MMI system is intuitive, and the cabin is exceptionally well-insulated from exterior wind and road noise, a major plus during summer months. Multi-zone climate control ensures that all three rows receive dedicated cooling, maintaining passenger comfort even during the peak of the afternoon heat.

Safety

The 2019 Q7 comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including Audi Pre Sense to help mitigate potential collisions in busy urban traffic. Standard features like blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert provide essential assistance on multi-lane GCC highways, while the electronic stability control is tuned to handle the sudden changes in surface grip often found on sandy or dusty secondary roads.

The bottom line

This Q7 is the perfect choice for a growing family that needs German engineering and seven-seat practicality without sacrificing the power required for GCC driving conditions.
