• Top speed of 305 km/h

Summary

This 2019 Mulsanne Speed is a rare find in the GCC market, offering the definitive ultra-luxury experience with the added performance of the iconic 'Speed' tuning. With only 52,175 km on the odometer, this seven-year-old flagship has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for the region, preserving its mechanical integrity. The Speed trim is highly coveted in the UAE for its darkened exterior aesthetics and increased output, which makes it a standout choice against the standard Mulsanne or the Rolls-Royce Ghost. Finished in a classic Tan that resists the intense GCC sun better than darker shades, this Bentley retains a commanding presence while maintaining its value as one of the final iterations of the Crewe-built flagship. For the executive who demands both chauffeur-driven comfort and the capability for high-speed cross-border touring, this Mulsanne Speed represents a pinnacle investment.

This Car vs Other 2019 Mulsannes

At 52,175 km, this Mulsanne Speed has averaged approximately 7,500 km per year, which is exceptionally low for a luxury sedan in the GCC where highway commutes often inflate mileage. Compared to other 2019 models on the market, this lower usage suggests less wear on the air suspension and cooling systems, both of which are critical in our climate. The Tan exterior is a practical choice for the region, showing less dust and staying cooler during peak summer months than black or dark blue alternatives.

SPEED vs Lower Trims

The Speed trim elevates the Mulsanne from a refined cruiser to a performance powerhouse, increasing torque to a massive 1,100 Nm. It replaces bright chrome with a 'dark tint' finish on the grilles and brightware, a look highly favored in Dubai and Riyadh for its more assertive stance. Inside, the Speed includes the Mulliner Driving Specification as standard, adding diamond-quilted leather, a knurled gear lever, and drilled alloy pedals that are optional on the base model.

Mulsanne vs Segment Rivals

The Mulsanne Speed offers a more driver-centric experience than the Rolls-Royce Phantom, featuring a dedicated 'Sport' suspension mode that tightens the chassis for better feedback on the highway. Its 6.75-litre V8 is a legendary powertrain with a unique low-end torque character that V12 rivals cannot match for effortless overtaking. Additionally, the Mulsanne's hand-built interior uses traditional veneers and solid metal switchgear that feel more substantial than the tech-heavy cabins of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.

Running Costs & Resale

In GCC stop-start traffic, the twin-turbo V8 is thirsty, but it excels on long-distance runs between Emirates where its cylinder deactivation technology helps on the highway. Maintenance is supported by an established authorized network including Al Habtoor Motors in the UAE and Samaco in Saudi Arabia, ensuring access to factory-trained technicians. While luxury sedans in this bracket see higher initial depreciation, the Speed trim historically holds a premium at resale due to its flagship status and higher desirability among local collectors.

Performance & Capability

The Mulsanne Speed is capable of reaching a top speed of 305 km/h, a figure that places it among the fastest luxury sedans ever produced. The 1,100 Nm of torque provides relentless acceleration, making highway merging and overtaking feel completely effortless even with five passengers on board. The recalibrated 8-speed ZF gearbox includes an 'S' mode that keeps the turbos spooled, ensuring instant power delivery for the demanding driver.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of hand-stitched leather and book-matched wood veneers, featuring four-zone climate control designed to handle 45°C+ temperatures with ease. Rear passengers enjoy deep-pile carpets and power-adjustable seating, while the acoustic glazing ensures the interior remains silent even at high cruising speeds. This specific example features the classic Tan leather, providing a warm and airy atmosphere that remains comfortable during long daytime drives across the desert.

Safety

Standard safety features on the Speed trim include Blind Spot Assist and Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, which are essential for navigating fast-moving multi-lane highways like the E11. The vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive airbag system and a reinforced steel monocoque for maximum occupant protection. Electronic Stability Control and traction systems are specifically tuned to maintain composure on both paved roads and the occasional wind-blown sand surfaces found on regional highways.

The bottom line

This is a low-mileage, GCC-spec flagship for the buyer who wants the very best of Bentley's traditional craftsmanship combined with modern performance. It is a rare opportunity to own a well-maintained Speed trim that has spent its life in a climate-controlled environment.
