Summary

This 2019 Infiniti QX50 in the Luxe Sensory ProAssist trim represents a sophisticated choice for GCC buyers, combining the world's first production variable-compression turbo engine with a high-specification cabin. At 7 years old with 133,787 km, the mileage is consistent with typical GCC highway use and well within the expected range for a luxury commuter in this region. The white exterior is the most sought-after color in the local market, ensuring maximum sunlight reflection and superior resale value. Compared to its rivals, the QX50 offers significantly more interior versatility thanks to its sliding and reclining rear bench. For a buyer looking for executive refinement without the steep maintenance costs of European alternatives, this GCC-spec SUV is a balanced and practical investment.

This Car vs Other 2019 QX50s

With a mileage of 133,787 km, this QX50 has averaged approximately 19,000 km per year, which is lower than the typical GCC average of 25,000 km. The white paintwork is a significant advantage in the local market, as it is the highest-demand color for resale and provides the best thermal management during summer months. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it features the necessary cooling and filtration systems required for reliable long-term operation in the region.

LUXE SENSORY PROASSIST vs Lower Trims

The Sensory and ProAssist packages elevate this QX50 far beyond the base Luxe trim, adding essential GCC luxuries like ventilated front seats and a 17-speaker Bose audio system. It also includes the full suite of ProPILOT Assist technologies, such as Intelligent Cruise Control and Lane Departure Prevention, which are invaluable for long highway drives between Emirates. The addition of 20-inch wheels and semi-aniline leather upholstery gives the cabin a much more premium executive feel.

QX50 vs Segment Rivals

The QX50 leads the Lexus NX and BMW X3 in interior flexibility, offering a sliding rear seat that can prioritize either class-leading legroom or expanded cargo space. Its VC-Turbo engine provides a unique balance, delivering V6-like power for highway overtaking while maintaining 4-cylinder efficiency during city commutes. Additionally, the QX50 typically offers a more generous standard equipment list at this trim level than similarly priced German competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the VC-Turbo engine averages around 9.0 L/100km combined, with the variable compression technology optimizing efficiency during steady highway cruising. Infiniti's authorized service network is extensive across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider GCC, ensuring parts are readily available. As a Japanese luxury brand, the QX50 benefits from better long-term value retention than many European rivals, typically depreciating at a more stable rate in the local used market.

Performance & Capability

The standout feature is the 2.0L VC-Turbo engine, which delivers 268 hp and 380 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 6.3 seconds. This power makes highway merging effortless, even when the vehicle is fully loaded with family and luggage. The Drive Mode Selector allows you to switch to 'Sport' for sharper throttle response or 'Eco' to maximize range during long-distance cross-border trips. While road-biased, its 218 mm ground clearance provides excellent visibility and confidence on gravel paths or sand-dusted roads.

Comfort & Cabin

The Sensory trim features climate-controlled (ventilated) front seats, which are a necessity for staying comfortable during the peak GCC summer. The cabin is further refined by an Advanced Climate Control System with a Plasmacluster air purifier and a Grape Polyphenol filter to maintain air quality. Passengers benefit from a panoramic moonroof and rear side window sunshades, while the Ultrasuede headliner and natural maple wood accents provide a genuinely high-end executive environment.

Safety

This ProAssist-equipped model features a comprehensive safety suite including a 360-degree Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, which is essential for navigating tight parking spaces in Dubai or Riyadh. Standard ADAS features include Blind Spot Warning, Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, and Predictive Forward Collision Warning. The ProPILOT Assist system adds a layer of safety on long desert highways by helping to keep the vehicle centered in its lane and maintaining a safe distance from traffic.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec QX50 is the ideal choice for a professional or small family seeking a high-tech luxury SUV that is perfectly adapted to the local climate and driving conditions. With its top-tier Sensory spec and desirable color, it represents one of the most balanced opportunities in the current used market.
