Summary

This 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS450 features the highly desirable AMG-KIT, providing the aggressive visual presence of a full AMG model with the balanced running costs of the inline-six powertrain. While many listings in the UAE feature the smaller 2.0L engine, this 3.0L variant offers significantly better highway performance for long-distance GCC commutes. The white exterior is the strongest resale color in the regional market, ensuring better value retention when it comes time to upgrade. With mileage reflecting typical highway use in the region, this Korean-spec example offers a modern, high-tech cabin that remains a generation ahead of most rivals. It is a perfect choice for those who want S-Class refinement in a sharper, more athletic silhouette.

This Car vs Other 2019 CLS450s

With 91,000 km, this vehicle has been driven approximately 18,000 km per year, which is below the GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km. The white exterior provides a significant advantage for local resale value and heat management compared to darker alternatives. Being a 3.0L model, it commands a premium over the entry-level CLS350 commonly found in the regional used market.

AMG-KIT vs Lower Trims

The AMG-KIT adds a more aggressive front apron, flared side sills, and a rear diffuser that standard trims lack. Inside, you benefit from a sportier steering wheel and brushed metal pedals, alongside upgraded wheels that fill the arches more effectively. These aesthetic enhancements are highly sought after by UAE buyers and directly contribute to stronger value retention.

CLS450 vs Segment Rivals

The CLS450 leads rivals like the Audi A7 and BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe in engine smoothness thanks to its unique inline-six configuration and 48V mild-hybrid system. Its 80-litre fuel tank is larger than the standard units in many competitors, offering superior range for cross-emirate drives. The cabin is also noted for having better acoustic insulation, providing a quieter experience on fast-moving highways.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 8.7 L/100km, aided by the EQ Boost system which allows for 'sailing' on the highway to save petrol. Mercedes-Benz maintains a massive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider GCC, ensuring parts are always accessible. While European luxury sedans typically depreciate by 12–18% annually in the region, the CLS450 with an AMG-KIT remains one of the more resilient models in its class.

Performance & Capability

The 367 hp inline-six engine delivers a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 4.8 seconds, offering effortless overtaking power for high-speed UAE roads. The 4MATIC All-Wheel Drive system ensures maximum grip during the occasional rain shower or on dusty surfaces. Integrated EQ Boost technology adds 22 hp and 250 Nm of electric torque instantly, eliminating turbo lag for immediate response in city traffic.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin features the signature dual 12.3-inch digital displays, creating a seamless cockpit environment. Mercedes-Benz’s air conditioning is specifically engineered to handle 45°C+ summer peaks, supported by high-quality cabin insulation. The 490-litre boot provides ample space for luggage, while the 64-color ambient lighting allows you to customize the interior atmosphere for night driving.

Safety

This trim includes a comprehensive safety suite featuring Blind Spot Assist and Active Brake Assist, which are essential for navigating multi-lane highway traffic in Dubai and Riyadh. The 4MATIC system provides enhanced stability on gravel-strewn roads, while ATTENTION ASSIST monitors driver fatigue during long desert drives. Multiple airbags and a high-strength steel passenger cell ensure top-tier occupant protection.

The bottom line

This CLS450 AMG-KIT is an ideal opportunity for a buyer seeking a low-mileage executive coupe that balances striking looks with reliable German engineering. It offers the best of the 2019 generation in the most market-friendly color combination available in the GCC.
