Summary

This 2019 Eclipse Cross GLS High Line represents a smart entry point into the compact SUV segment, offering a modern aesthetic without the typical SUV fuel penalty. With 94,000 km, the mileage is well within the expected range for a five-year-old GCC vehicle, suggesting consistent but not excessive use. The Silver exterior is one of the most practical choices for the region, effectively masking dust and maintaining high resale appeal. As a top-tier GLS High Line trim, it bridges the gap between daily commuter and premium family car with features typically found in more expensive segments. Mitsubishi's reputation for mechanical durability and cold AC performance makes this a reliable choice for the demanding Gulf climate.

This Car vs Other 2019 Eclipse Crosss

At 94,000 km, this vehicle sits comfortably at the regional average of roughly 19,000 km per year, indicating it has likely been used for typical UAE commutes. The Silver paint is a major asset in the GCC used market, offering superior heat reflection compared to darker tones and significantly better value retention. Being a GCC spec model, it ensures full compatibility with local service centers and regional cooling requirements.

GLS HIGH LINE vs Lower Trims

The GLS High Line adds essential premium features that the base GLX lacks, most notably the 360-degree Multi-View Camera system which is a lifesaver in tight urban parking. Buyers also benefit from upgraded 18-inch alloy wheels, a Head-Up Display (HUD) for safer highway driving, and a premium 6-speaker audio system. This trim also replaces basic climate controls with a dual-zone automatic system, allowing independent temperature settings for the driver and passenger.

Eclipse Cross vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Honda HR-V or Toyota Rush, the Eclipse Cross offers a punchier turbocharged engine that provides better overtaking confidence on fast-moving highways like E11. Its unique sliding and reclining rear bench allows owners to prioritize either class-leading rear legroom or extra cargo space depending on the trip. The Mitsubishi also benefits from a more robust authorized service presence across the wider GCC, including smaller cities in Saudi Arabia and Oman.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel efficiency is a strong suit, averaging 7.0 L/100km, which helps manage costs during long-distance drives between Emirates. Maintenance is straightforward with service intervals typically every 10,000 km, supported by one of the most established spare parts networks in the region. Mitsubishi crossovers generally experience a steady 10-12% annual depreciation, performing better than most European rivals in the same price bracket.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5L turbocharged engine delivers 150 hp and a healthy 250 Nm of torque, ensuring the car doesn't feel strained when fully loaded with a family of five. It reaches 100 km/h in approximately 9.8 seconds, which is competitive for the crossover segment and ideal for city stop-start traffic. While front-wheel drive, its 183mm ground clearance is sufficient for navigating gravel tracks and sandy parking areas at weekend beach spots.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed around the 'Horizontal Axis' concept, putting the 7-inch infotainment screen and climate controls within easy reach. The High Line trim features upgraded fabric upholstery with contrast stitching that stays cooler in the summer heat than traditional leather. Rear passengers are well-catered for with dedicated heater ducts and seatbacks that recline in eight different positions for long-distance comfort.

Safety

Safety is a priority for the High Line, equipped with a comprehensive suite including Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are essential for multi-lane GCC highways. The vehicle features Active Stability Control and Hill Start Assist as standard, providing extra security on inclined exits or slippery surfaces. A total of 7 airbags and a 5-star ANCAP safety rating offer peace of mind for family-oriented buyers.

The bottom line

Perfect for a young family or a professional seeking a tech-focused SUV that won't break the bank at the petrol pump or the service center. This High Line trim offers the premium features of a luxury crossover with the legendary reliability and resale strength of the Mitsubishi brand.
