Summary

This 2020 Stelvio Super offers a compelling entry into Italian performance SUVs, combining a sharp 200 hp turbocharged engine with the security of four-wheel drive. With mileage well below the GCC annual average for its age, it represents a high-value opportunity for those seeking a driver-focused alternative to the standard German rivals. The Silver exterior is a premier choice for the region, known for maintaining strong resale value and hiding desert dust effectively. The Super trim adds key interior refinements and tech that elevate the daily commute across the Emirates. For the GCC buyer, this model stands out for its perfect balance of daily usability and the soul of a sports car.

This Car vs Other 2020 Stelvios

With just over 66,000 km, this Stelvio has been driven significantly less than the typical 20,000–25,000 km per year common in the GCC, suggesting a life of light use. The Silver paint is not just a stylistic choice but a strategic one for the local used market, as it is one of the top three colors for value retention in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. This lower-than-average mileage makes it a standout listing compared to higher-mileage examples often found in the secondary market.

SUPER vs Lower Trims

The Super trim enhances the Stelvio experience by adding 18-inch luxury alloy wheels, front parking sensors, and a more sophisticated interior finish compared to the base model. GCC buyers will appreciate the upgraded infotainment interface and the addition of premium leather-trimmed surfaces that withstand the local climate better than entry-level textiles. It strikes a balance between the raw performance of the Quadrifoglio and the daily necessities required for city and highway driving.

Stelvio vs Segment Rivals

When compared to rivals like the BMW X3 or Audi Q5, the Stelvio leads with a near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution, providing a more agile steering feel on winding roads. It offers a larger 64-litre fuel tank than several competitors, a vital feature for long-distance drives between Abu Dhabi and Dubai or cross-border trips. While rivals focus on digital complexity, the Alfa Romeo prioritizes the mechanical connection, offering a more visceral driving experience.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 7.0 L/100km on the highway, though GCC stop-start traffic may see figures closer to 9.0 L/100km. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km or 12 months, with authorized centers well-established in major cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh. As a GCC spec vehicle, it benefits from a more favorable depreciation curve locally compared to non-regional imports, typically retaining more value at the 5-year mark.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine delivers its 330 Nm of torque early at 1,750 rpm, making highway overtaking effortless and responsive. Its Q4 all-wheel-drive system is rear-biased for a sporty feel but can instantly shift power to the front wheels when encountering sand or gravel on weekend outings. With a top speed of 215 km/h and sharp 8-speed automatic shifting, it maintains a composed and refined character even at high GCC highway cruising speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed around the driver, featuring a high-quality leather-wrapped steering wheel and intuitive controls that are easy to use while wearing sunglasses. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated AC vents, a necessity during the peak summer months in the Gulf. The 499-litre boot is practical for family grocery runs or weekend luggage, while the acoustic insulation keeps the interior quiet during high-speed desert commutes.

Safety

Standard safety features on this trim include Forward Collision Warning with Autonomous Emergency Braking and Lane Departure Warning, providing essential protection on fast-moving multi-lane highways. The 360-degree parking sensor suite makes maneuvering in tight city mall parking lots stress-free. It also features a high-strength steel and aluminum chassis that earned a 5-star Euro NCAP rating, ensuring peace of mind for family use.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who needs the practicality of an SUV without sacrificing the joy of driving, this low-mileage, GCC-spec Stelvio is the smartest way to own an Italian icon in the region.
