Summary

This 2020 Bentley Flying Spur W12 represents a significant leap for the model, moving to the advanced MSB platform shared with the Porsche Panamera for far superior handling. With 57,000 km, the mileage is well-positioned for its age in the GCC market, where luxury cruisers often see high highway use between Emirates. The Green exterior is a distinguished choice that maintains strong desirability in the UAE and wider GCC for its classic British racing heritage. As the W12 flagship, it offers a level of effortless torque that its V8 counterparts cannot match, making it the definitive choice for long-distance regional travel. Owners in the region benefit from an established network of authorized service centers in all major GCC cities, ensuring this complex hand-built machine remains in peak condition.

This Car vs Other 2020 Flying Spurs

With 57,000 km, this vehicle sits comfortably at the average for a four-year-old luxury sedan in the GCC, where 15,000 km per year is typical. The unique green finish serves as a sophisticated alternative to the common whites and silvers, often commanding quicker interest from collectors in the UAE. Its GCC specification is a critical advantage, ensuring the cooling systems and AC are factory-built to handle 50°C summer peaks.

W12 vs Lower Trims

The W12 trim is the pinnacle of the range, providing 626 hp compared to the V8's 542 hp and featuring a more complex, smooth power delivery. Choosing the W12 adds standard high-tier equipment such as the rotating central display and all-wheel steering, which significantly improves maneuverability on tight city streets. For the GCC buyer, the W12 also ensures higher prestige and better performance for high-speed highway overtaking.

Flying Spur vs Segment Rivals

The Flying Spur offers a more driver-focused experience than the Rolls-Royce Ghost while providing more handcrafted exclusivity than the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. Its active all-wheel-drive system and 48V electronic anti-roll bars provide superior stability on long desert highway stretches compared to its peers. The massive fuel tank ensures fewer stops during cross-border drives between Dubai and Riyadh.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the W12 averages around 14.8 L/100km, which is expected for a 12-cylinder powerhouse in GCC traffic. Bentley recommends service intervals every 16,000 km or 12 months, with authorized service centers readily available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. While European luxury sedans typically depreciate by 12-18% annually, the W12 flagship holds value better than lower trims due to its status as a discontinued engine configuration.

Performance & Capability

The 6.0-litre W12 produces a massive 900 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 3.8 seconds. This power is managed by an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission that provides seamless shifts, whether cruising through city traffic or hitting its 333 km/h top speed. The All-Wheel Steering system reduces the turning circle, making this large sedan surprisingly agile in urban GCC environments.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is a sanctuary of hand-stitched leather and wood veneers, featuring multi-zone climate control optimized for extreme heat. Both front and rear passengers enjoy ventilated and massaging seats, essential for the humid summer months in the region. The cabin is exceptionally well-insulated, keeping the interior silent even at high cruising speeds on regional motorways.

Safety

Standard safety features include a comprehensive ADAS suite with Night Vision, a 360-degree camera system for easy parking, and Adaptive Cruise Control for relaxed long-distance driving. Traffic Sign Recognition and Blind Spot Assist are particularly valuable for the fast-paced, multi-lane highways of the UAE. The car is also equipped with a full array of airbags and advanced stability control tuned for various road surfaces.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec W12 is the perfect acquisition for the executive driver who demands the absolute peak of Bentley performance and presence. It offers the rare combination of a heritage-inspired color and the most powerful engine configuration before its production ends.
