First of all, we have to say we are blown away with the quality & driving experience of the latest generation Ford Mustang, with bags of torque from its improved 5.0 V8 engine, quality finishing and an overall feeling that puts a proper smile on your face and puts this car in the realms of its German competitors but at a fraction of the price. Come down for a viewing and see with your own eyes how sharp this 2020 GT model looks and drives! It was also bought new from Al Tayer Ford.
Let’s start with the drivetrain, the 5.0-litre V8 now has 475bhp through the 10-speed automatic transmission – 40bhp more and a cheeky 5bhp more than the V8 Camaro. All new models now have revised shocks for a better ride quality, plus stiffer rear suspension, and stabilizer bars to sharpen steering response and handling accuracy. Sending the power rearward through a 3.73 rear end that brings a 0-100KM/h in just 4.6 seconds! If you enjoy the experience as much as the performance, the Mustang GT really is the whole package, with an exhaust that’s muscular when exercised and an interior you don’t have to make excuses for like many other American cars.
The interior is very nicely finished & a huge step forward from Mustang & Ford models of old. A swath of material that looks like engine-turned aluminium cuts a handsome horizontal line across the cabin, stitched leather dashboard & centre console, also the instruments and gauges are high-quality with fun details such as “ground speed” on the speedometer complete the feel.
