• 2-inch factory-installed suspension lift
• 4,082 kg maximum braked towing capacity

Summary

This GCC-spec Sierra AT4 is a commanding presence on the road, powered by the most desirable 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 420 hp. With its factory-lifted suspension and specialized Rancho shocks, it offers a distinct advantage for weekend desert excursions while remaining refined for long-distance highway cruising between emirates. The grey exterior is a highly resilient and popular resale choice in the local market, standing up well to the intense GCC sun. At six years old, this truck represents a mature, high-spec workhorse that bridges the gap between rugged off-road capability and executive-level cabin comfort. It remains a top choice for buyers who need genuine towing power without sacrificing the premium features typical of the AT4 trim.

This Car vs Other 2020 Sierras

With 140,000 km on the odometer, this truck has seen steady use that aligns with the higher average annual mileage of 20,000–25,000 km typical for the GCC region. Many Sierras of this age are basic work trims, but the AT4's premium off-road hardware makes this specific listing a more robust choice for local conditions. The grey finish is particularly sought after in the UAE and Saudi markets for its ability to hide desert dust and maintain its luster under extreme heat.

1500 CREWCAB AT4 vs Lower Trims

The AT4 trim significantly elevates the Sierra's capability over the SLT with a standard 2-inch factory lift and off-road-tuned Rancho monotube shocks. It also introduces the high-utility MultiPro Tailgate and a unique interior featuring leather-appointed seating with Kalahari accents. While lower trims often stick to the 5.3-liter engine, this AT4 comes equipped with the superior 6.2-liter V8 and a 10-speed automatic transmission for much smoother power delivery.

Sierra vs Segment Rivals

The Sierra AT4 leads its segment rivals like the Ford F-150 Tremor and Ram 1500 Rebel by offering a more premium, tech-focused interior that doesn't compromise on heavy-duty utility. Its MultiPro Tailgate remains a class-exclusive feature that offers six distinct functional positions, providing unmatched flexibility for loading gear. Furthermore, the 6.2-liter V8 offers a more traditional, high-displacement power feel that many GCC truck enthusiasts prefer over the turbocharged V6 alternatives found in competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 6.2L V8 averages approximately 14.3 L/100km, which is expected for a high-performance pickup in stop-start city traffic and long highway stretches. GMC enjoys an extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, with recommended service intervals occurring every 10,000 km. In the GCC market, the AT4 trim retains its value significantly better than base models, typically showing a depreciation rate of roughly 10-12% annually due to its high demand among desert driving enthusiasts.

Performance & Capability

This truck is defined by its 420 hp and 624 Nm of torque, enabling it to reach 100 km/h in approximately 6.2 seconds—a remarkable figure for a vehicle of this size. The All-Wheel Drive system is paired with a two-speed Autotrac transfer case and a locking rear differential, making it exceptionally capable on soft sand and steep dunes. With a verified towing capacity of 4,082 kg, it effortlessly handles large boats or horse trailers for cross-border trips.

Comfort & Cabin

The Crew Cab configuration provides class-leading front head and legroom, ensuring a spacious environment for five adults during long GCC road trips. The cabin is specifically insulated to manage external heat, supported by a powerful air conditioning system and ventilated front seats standard on this trim. Technical highlights include a large color touchscreen with navigation and a premium audio system, creating a luxury-sedan feel inside a rugged pickup body.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the AT4 includes a 360-degree camera system, which is vital for navigating tight city parking and off-road obstacles. The truck is equipped with a full suite of driver-assist technologies like Blind Zone Alert and Lane Change Alert, providing essential protection on fast-moving multi-lane highways. Stability control and traction systems are factory-tuned to handle both high-speed asphalt and unpredictable gravel or sand surfaces.

The bottom line

This 6.2L AT4 is the ideal match for a buyer who wants a proven, high-displacement American V8 with all the off-road upgrades already installed. It is a mechanically sound, high-spec opportunity to own a premium GCC pickup that is as comfortable in the city as it is in the desert.
