Summary

This 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLS350 is a standout choice in the pre-owned market, combining a sophisticated 48V mild-hybrid system with a sleek four-door coupe silhouette. With mileage just over 53,000 km, it has been driven significantly less than the typical GCC annual average, ensuring it remains in peak mechanical form. The black exterior is the most sought-after resale color in the UAE, providing both a timeless look and superior value retention. This GCC-spec model offers the perfect balance of fuel efficiency and executive presence, making it ideal for both city commuting and long-distance highway cruises between emirates.

This Car vs Other 2020 CLS350s

At 53,283 km, this vehicle's mileage is notably below the typical 80,000–100,000 km range expected for a four-year-old car in the GCC. The obsidian black finish is highly preferred in the local market, ensuring this specific unit will attract stronger interest and hold its value better than lighter or more niche colors.

Standard vs Lower Trims

The CLS350 trim upgrades the driving experience with the EQ Boost system, providing an additional 150 Nm of electric torque for smoother low-speed acceleration. It also features a larger 12.3-inch high-resolution infotainment screen and standard leather upholstery, offering a more premium environment than entry-level executive sedans.

CLS350 vs Segment Rivals

Compared to rivals like the Audi A7 and BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe, the CLS350 leads with its refined 9G-TRONIC transmission and superior fuel efficiency thanks to its mild-hybrid integration. Its compact 2.0L engine architecture allows for lower registration and insurance costs in the UAE without sacrificing the 250 km/h top speed capability.

Running Costs & Resale

The hybrid powertrain achieves a combined fuel consumption of approximately 7.1 L/100km, offering significant savings during stop-start traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. Mercedes-Benz maintains one of the most robust authorized service networks across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with standard service intervals every 15,000 km. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it avoids the warranty and cooling concerns associated with imports, retaining roughly 60% of its value after three years.

Performance & Capability

Delivering 299 hp and 400 Nm of torque, this sedan reaches 100 km/h in a swift 6.0 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on the E11 highway. The rear-wheel-drive configuration ensures a classic luxury feel with sharp steering response, while the 48V EQ Boost system virtually eliminates turbo lag for immediate power delivery. Multiple DYNAMIC SELECT modes allow the driver to prioritize maximum efficiency or sportier throttle response at the touch of a button.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a masterclass in insulation, featuring acoustic glass that keeps the interior quiet and cool even in peak summer heat. Standard 64-color ambient lighting allows for personalized interior moods, while the five-seat layout provides 490 liters of boot space for weekend trips. The dual-zone climate control is specifically calibrated for the GCC, ensuring rapid cabin cooling after the car has been parked in the sun.

Safety

This model is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and a standard rearview camera to navigate tight urban parking. The Pre-Safe system and seven airbags provide class-leading occupant protection, while the Attention Assist monitors driver fatigue during long desert highway drives.

The bottom line

This low-mileage, GCC-spec CLS350 is the ideal choice for a buyer seeking the luxury of a flagship sedan with the modern efficiency and resale security of a hybrid Mercedes-Benz.
