Summary

This 2020 Mercedes-Benz E350 is a sophisticated executive sedan that bridges the gap between daily usability and high-end refinement. Finished in Silver, a color prized in the GCC for its excellent heat reflection and strong resale demand, it presents a professional aesthetic suitable for any business environment. While this is an American spec vehicle, it offers the same world-class chassis and safety tech found in local models at a potentially more accessible entry point. The E-Class remains the segment benchmark for cabin quality, easily outshining rivals with its superior materials and library-quiet ride. For a buyer in the UAE, this represents a chance to own a modern, tech-forward Mercedes that handles long inter-emirate highway cruises with total composure.

This Car vs Other 2020 E350s

With 147,000 km on the odometer, this E350 has been driven more than the typical UAE average of 20,000–25,000 km per year. However, these miles are often gathered on well-maintained highways between major cities, which is significantly less taxing on the engine and transmission than stop-start urban traffic. The Silver exterior is a major advantage for local buyers, as it is one of the most sought-after colors in the GCC used market due to its durability and high resale liquidity.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The E350 Standard trim for 2020 is exceptionally well-equipped, featuring the upgraded 2.0L turbo engine over the previous E300. It includes the signature 12.3-inch high-resolution central display, 64-color ambient lighting, and power front seats with memory as standard equipment. Unlike entry-level executive sedans, this trim provides the full Mercedes-Benz experience with the sophisticated 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission for seamless power delivery.

E350 vs Segment Rivals

The E350 leads rivals like the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6 primarily in interior craftsmanship and ride suppleness. Its cabin architecture feels a generation ahead, utilizing more premium touchpoints and a more intuitive digital cockpit. Additionally, the Mercedes E-Class offers a more relaxed highway demeanor, making it the preferred choice for those who prioritize long-distance comfort over stiff, sporty suspension tuning.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0L turbo engine typically averages around 8.5L/100km on the highway, making it an efficient cruiser for commutes between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. While this is an American spec model, parts availability in the UAE is excellent due to the massive local popularity of the W213 generation. Service intervals are generally every 15,000 km, and while Mercedes-Benz authorized centers are plentiful across the GCC, independent specialists in the UAE offer competitive maintenance for out-of-warranty American spec vehicles.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder produces a punchy 255 hp and 370 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in approximately 6.5 seconds. This performance is perfectly tuned for the GCC’s fast-moving highway infrastructure, providing confident overtaking power at cruising speeds. The DYNAMIC SELECT system allows the driver to sharpen the throttle and steering for a more engaging drive or soften everything for maximum efficiency during heavy city traffic.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the E350 features a spacious 5-seat layout with dual-zone automatic climate control designed to combat the intense GCC summer heat. The cabin is insulated with high-grade acoustic materials, effectively blocking out road noise even at 120 km/h. Technology highlights include standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, ensuring your navigation and media are always accessible through the expansive 12.3-inch screen.

Safety

Safety is a core Mercedes-Benz pillar, with the 2020 E350 featuring standard Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and the PRE-SAFE predictive occupant protection system. For the fast-moving, multi-lane highways of the UAE, these systems provide a vital extra layer of protection by monitoring surrounding traffic and preparing the cabin if a collision is detected. The car also features seven airbags and crosswind assist, ensuring stability during the occasional high-wind conditions found on open desert roads.

The bottom line

This E350 is an ideal choice for a professional seeking a prestige sedan that balances modern luxury with a more approachable price point. It offers the quintessential Mercedes-Benz experience in a market-preferred color, making it a sensible and stylish upgrade for any GCC commuter.
