Summary

This Toyota Land Cruiser VXR is a standout choice for GCC buyers seeking the ultimate blend of legendary off-road capability and executive-level comfort. With 67,500 km on the clock, this 2020 model has been driven significantly less than the regional average, offering a fresh mechanical feel for its next owner. The black exterior is a high-demand choice in the local market, ensuring strong resale value and a commanding presence on the road. As the VXR is the flagship trim for the 4.0L V6 range, you get a cabin packed with features that typical daily drivers in the Emirates or Saudi Arabia will appreciate during the long summer months. It remains the definitive choice for those who want a vehicle that transitions seamlessly from a city commute to a weekend desert expedition.

This Car vs Other 2020 Land Cruisers

At 67,500 km, this Land Cruiser has been driven roughly 17,000 km per year, which is well below the typical GCC annual average of 25,000 km. While many examples of this age are nearing the 100,000 km mark, this vehicle presents as a low-mileage advantage for long-term ownership. The black finish is a tier-one resale color in the UAE and Saudi markets, often commanding a premium over less traditional shades.

VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR is the flagship luxury tier, significantly elevating the interior experience over the GXR and EXR trims. It standardizes essential GCC luxuries such as ventilated front seats, the 14-speaker JBL premium sound system, and a 9-inch infotainment display with integrated navigation. Unlike lower trims, the VXR also includes advanced driver assistance features like a 360-degree camera system and adaptive cruise control, which are vital for long-distance highway cruising.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Nissan Patrol or the Mitsubishi Pajero, the Land Cruiser leads with its exceptional resale value and the most extensive service network in the region. Its 4.0L V6 is widely regarded as one of the most reliable powertrains for high-heat environments, offering a better balance of daily fuel efficiency and durability than the larger V8 competitors. The Land Cruiser also features a specialized split-tailgate design that provides a practical seating area for desert stops, a feature rivals lack.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 engine is a regional favorite for its manageable running costs, typically averaging between 12 and 15 L/100km depending on GCC city traffic or highway use. Toyota parts are the most readily available across all seven Emirates and neighboring countries, keeping long-term maintenance costs lower than European luxury SUVs. Historically, the Land Cruiser VXR retains roughly 80-85% of its value after three years in the UAE, making it one of the safest automotive investments in the region.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with 271 hp and a full-time All-Wheel Drive system, this Land Cruiser is built for the diverse terrains of the Middle East. It features Toyota's renowned Crawl Control and Multi-Terrain Select, allowing it to navigate soft sand and rocky wadis with ease. The 4.0L engine provides smooth, linear power delivery that is ideal for both overtaking on the E11 highway and maintaining momentum in deep dunes.

Comfort & Cabin

The VXR cabin is designed to be a sanctuary from the intense GCC heat, featuring a high-output four-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents. The 7-seat configuration is flexible for large families, while the factory-integrated refrigerator in the center console is a must-have for keeping drinks cold during cross-country drives. Premium leather upholstery and wood-grain trim pieces provide a refined atmosphere that justifies its status as a top-tier SUV.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive on this VXR trim, featuring a suite of active systems including Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are indispensable in fast-moving Middle Eastern traffic. It comes standard with 10 airbags and Toyota's Pre-Collision System, providing peace of mind for family travel. The inclusion of a 360-degree camera makes parking this large SUV in tight urban spaces significantly easier and safer.

The bottom line

This is the perfect opportunity for a family or adventurer looking for a low-mileage, top-spec Land Cruiser that is already optimized for the GCC lifestyle. It combines the prestige of the VXR trim with the proven reliability of Toyota's V6, making it a smart, long-term purchase.
