Summary

This 2021 BMW X6 M Competition represents the absolute peak of the Sports Activity Coupe segment, blending supercar-rivaling acceleration with a commanding road presence. At 5 years old with 76,646 km, the mileage is perfectly average for a GCC-based performance vehicle, suggesting it has been used as intended for both spirited drives and daily commutes. The Grey exterior is a highly desirable shade in the region, ensuring better heat reflection than black and maintaining strong resale appeal. As a full Competition trim, it offers significantly more aggression and standard tech than the base X5 or X6 models. For the serious buyer, this is an opportunity to own a high-output V8 powerhouse that remains one of the most capable all-weather performers in the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2021 X6s

With 76,646 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits comfortably within the expected 15,000–18,000 km annual average for luxury SUVs in the UAE market. Unlike standard xDrive40i models often found with higher highway mileage, M Competition units are typically maintained with greater mechanical scrutiny. The Grey exterior finish is a Tier-1 resale color in the GCC, offering a sophisticated look that holds its value better than more niche performance colors.

M COMPETITION vs Lower Trims

The M Competition sits in a different league than the M50i, adding an extra 77 hp and a track-optimized cooling system essential for GCC summers. It standardizes the M Sport exhaust system for a more visceral soundtrack and replaces standard trim with extended Shadowline high-gloss accents. Inside, you get the full M Treatment, including M-specific displays, carbon fiber trim, and the highest-grade Merino leather which stays more comfortable in high temperatures than synthetic alternatives.

X6 vs Segment Rivals

The X6 M Competition is frequently cross-shopped with the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe and the Audi RS Q8. While rivals offer similar straight-line speed, the BMW is often cited for having the most driver-centric chassis and sharper transmission logic. Its 83-litre fuel tank provides a competitive cruising range for long drives between Dubai and Riyadh, and its iDrive system remains the benchmark for cabin tech usability in the segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this high-performance V8 typically averages around 13.0L/100km in mixed driving, though city traffic in Dubai or Doha will see higher figures. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it benefits from the full support of authorized service networks like AGMC and Abu Dhabi Motors, which is a major value-add for local resale. These models typically see a depreciation of roughly 12-15% annually in the UAE, retaining a premium over non-GCC imports due to their regional cooling and warranty compatibility.

Performance & Capability

The headline figure is a blistering 3.8-second sprint to 100 km/h, delivered via a sophisticated M xDrive system that biases power to the rear for a true sports car feel. On the open highways of the GCC, the 600 hp V8 provides effortless overtaking power even at high cruising speeds. Multiple drive modes allow you to soften the adaptive suspension for a comfortable commute across the Emirates or stiffen it for total control on winding mountain passes like Jebel Jais.

Comfort & Cabin

The 5-seat cabin is a masterclass in performance luxury, featuring M Multi-function seats that provide excellent support during spirited driving. The 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system is tuned specifically for the X6's unique coupe-like interior acoustics. Given the local climate, the quad-zone climate control and powerful BMW AC system ensure all passengers stay cool during peak summer months, while the acoustic glazing keeps the cabin remarkably quiet.

Safety

This trim is equipped with BMW's comprehensive Active Guard suite, featuring Frontal Collision Warning and Lane Departure Warning. For the fast-moving, multi-lane highways of the GCC, the standard Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert provide essential peace of mind. The 360-degree Surround View camera system makes maneuvering this wide-bodied SUV into tight city parking spaces effortless.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for an enthusiast who refuses to choose between a supercar and an SUV; it offers a high-spec, GCC-ready package that is ready for immediate delivery.
