Summary

This 2021 Mustang GT Premium offers a significant power advantage with the iconic 5.0-liter Coyote V8, delivering a raw performance experience that its turbocharged rivals can't match. Having covered 88,158 km in five years, the mileage is perfectly average for a GCC-owned vehicle, reflecting consistent highway use rather than harsh city stop-start wear. The Grey exterior is a highly desirable resale color in the UAE, offering a neutral yet aggressive look that hides desert dust effectively. Choosing the GT Premium trim ensures you get essential climate features like ventilated seats, which are non-negotiable for summer comfort in the region. For a buyer seeking an authentic American muscle car with modern tech, this GCC-spec example represents a balanced and reliable entry point.

This Car vs Other 2021 Mustangs

With approximately 17,600 km driven per year, this Mustang sits right in the sweet spot for GCC usage, where the average often reaches 25,000 km. The Grey finish provides a distinct resale advantage in the local market over louder colors, appealing to a broader range of future buyers. As a GCC-spec vehicle, it avoids the insurance and cooling system complications often associated with imported North American models.

GT Premium vs Lower Trims

The GT Premium trim is a substantial step up from the base GT, adding leather-trimmed upholstery and the SYNC 3 infotainment system with a larger 8-inch touchscreen. Most importantly for the GCC climate, it includes heated and ventilated front seats as standard, along with a dual-zone automatic climate control system. You also benefit from a superior nine-speaker audio system and selectable drive modes that allow you to sharpen the throttle response for highway overtaking.

Mustang vs Segment Rivals

The Mustang GT leads rivals like the Dodge Challenger and Chevrolet Camaro by offering a more refined interior and a highly advanced 10-speed automatic transmission. Its 5.0-liter engine provides a more linear power delivery than the smaller turbocharged units found in European coupes, making it better suited for the high-speed cruising typical of UAE highways. The Mustang also enjoys a larger aftermarket and specialist service network across the GCC compared to more niche competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.0L V8 averages around 12.5 L/100km, though this can rise to 15 L/100km in heavy city traffic like Dubai's E11 during peak hours. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and with Ford's extensive authorized network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, maintenance is straightforward. The Mustang GT Premium maintains one of the strongest resale values in the sports coupe segment, typically depreciating at a slower rate than its European counterparts.

Performance & Capability

The heart of this machine is the 460 hp Coyote V8, which enables a blistering 0-100 km/h sprint in just 4.3 seconds when paired with the 10-speed automatic. On the long stretches between emirates, the car feels planted and effortless, with a limited top speed of 250 km/h. Selectable steering and drive modes allow you to toggle between a comfortable commuter and a track-ready performance car at the push of a button.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for a driver-focused experience while accommodating two additional passengers for short trips. The ventilated seats are exceptionally powerful, providing immediate relief during the peak summer months. Premium materials on the dashboard and doors elevate the feel of the GT Premium, while the quiet cabin insulation keeps the V8's roar outside until you choose to open the throttle.

Safety

This Mustang comes equipped with Ford Co-Pilot360, featuring blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, which is essential for safely navigating fast-moving multi-lane GCC highways. The suite also includes lane-keeping assist and pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking. Stability control and a comprehensive airbag system provide peace of mind during spirited drives or long-distance cross-border trips.

The bottom line

For the enthusiast who demands V8 power without sacrificing daily comforts like cooled seats and premium tech, this GCC-spec GT Premium is a proven and well-maintained choice.
