Summary

This 2021 Hyundai Palisade Premium represents a sophisticated choice for GCC families, balancing modern luxury with proven regional reliability. With 95,000 km over 5 years, its mileage is exactly in line with typical GCC highway use, where these V6 engines are known to excel during long-distance inter-city commutes. The brown exterior is a distinctive, high-end alternative to the common white or silver, yet it retains strong resale appeal due to its premium associations in the Gulf. As a flagship SUV, it provides the features and presence of a luxury brand while benefiting from one of the most extensive authorized service networks in the region. For the buyer who needs seven-seat capacity without compromising on cabin technology or summer cooling performance, this is a standout opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2021 Palisades

At 95,000 km, this vehicle has averaged roughly 19,000 km per year, which is lower than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for family SUVs in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. This moderate usage suggests the mechanical components have been preserved for many more years of service. The brown finish is a premium choice that stands out in the pre-owned market, often attracting buyers looking for a more executive appearance than the standard fleet colors.

PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The Premium trim significantly elevates the ownership experience compared to the Smart or Comfort levels, most notably with the addition of a 360-degree surround-view monitor and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. It specifically adds ventilated front and rear seats—a critical feature for GCC summers—and the high-fidelity 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. You also gain second-row captain chairs, which provide a more executive walkthrough layout and improved airflow to the third row.

Palisade vs Segment Rivals

The Palisade is frequently cross-shopped with the Toyota Highlander and Kia Telluride, where it leads with a more car-like, refined interior and superior third-row legroom. Its 3.5L V6 is specifically tuned for the smooth power delivery required on GCC highways, offering a quieter cabin experience than some of its turbocharged four-cylinder competitors. Additionally, the availability of dedicated rear-seat climate zones ensures passenger comfort even in extreme 45°C heat.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5L V6 typically averages around 10.6 L/100km on combined routes, making it efficient for a vehicle of this size during long Dubai-to-Abu Dhabi drives. Hyundai's massive presence across the UAE and Saudi Arabia ensures that parts are readily available and servicing is affordable at any authorized center. The Palisade has shown strong value retention in the GCC, typically depreciating at a slower rate than European luxury SUVs in the same price bracket.

Performance & Capability

The 277 hp V6 engine provides a top speed of 210 km/h, ensuring effortless overtaking on multi-lane highways. Equipped with a Four-Wheel Drive system and selectable terrain modes, it handles sand-blown roads and gravel tracks with confidence during weekend outings. The 8-speed automatic transmission is optimized for smooth shifts, maintaining a refined cabin environment whether navigating stop-start city traffic or cruising at high speeds.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a masterclass in family logistics, featuring 7 seats in a 2-2-3 configuration that allows for easy access to the rear. GCC owners will appreciate the powerful tri-zone climate control system and the acoustic-laminated glass that insulates the interior from both desert heat and road noise. Premium materials, including soft-touch surfaces and ambient lighting, create an upscale atmosphere that rivals much more expensive European competitors.

Safety

This Premium trim comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite, including Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist and Forward Collision-Avoidance. The 360-degree camera system is particularly useful for maneuvering this large SUV into tight mall parking spaces, while Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go reduces driver fatigue during long desert highway journeys. A full array of seven airbags and high-strength steel construction provide peace of mind for family travel.

The bottom line

For a GCC family seeking a tech-rich, 7-seat flagship that is perfectly sized for the region's infrastructure and climate, this moderate-mileage Palisade Premium is a highly sensible and stylish choice.
