Summary

This 2021 V 250 is the highly sought-after Falcon Edition Extra Long, a regional exclusive designed specifically for the UAE market. With its white exterior and GCC specification, it represents one of the strongest resale configurations available in the region. This model year bridges the gap between classic Mercedes utility and modern digital luxury, offering significantly more tech than previous versions. For a GCC buyer, the Extra Long chassis paired with the premium Falcon interior makes it the ideal cross-country family cruiser or high-end executive shuttle. Its mileage is well within the typical range for a well-maintained UAE vehicle of this age, ensuring many more years of service across the Emirates.

This Car vs Other 2021 V 250s

At roughly 83,000 km, this vehicle sits comfortably within the average annual usage range for the GCC, where 20,000 to 25,000 km per year is standard due to frequent highway travel between emirates. Unlike standard V 250s, this is a Falcon Edition, meaning it was specifically configured for regional climate demands and luxury expectations. The white exterior is the most popular choice in the UAE used market, offering better heat rejection and significantly higher resale demand than darker shades.

Falcon Edition Extra Long vs Lower Trims

The Falcon Edition is a GCC-exclusive trim that adds significant luxury over the standard Avantgarde, including a bespoke center console with an integrated refrigerator and temperature-controlled cupholders. The 'Extra Long' designation provides a 3,430mm wheelbase, offering substantially more legroom for all eight passengers and a larger cargo area compared to the standard and Long versions. Additionally, this trim includes a Burmester surround sound system and 360-degree cameras that are often optional on base models.

V 250 vs Segment Rivals

The Mercedes-Benz V-Class leads the luxury MPV segment against rivals like the Toyota Granvia and Kia Carnival by offering a more refined, car-like driving experience and superior cabin insulation. While the Granvia is a strong workhorse, the V 250 provides a higher level of prestige and a more flexible seating configuration that can be adapted for face-to-face meetings. Its 2.0L turbocharged engine offers a better balance of fuel efficiency and torque for highway overtaking compared to the larger naturally aspirated V6s found in some competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the V 250 in the GCC typically averages around 9.4 L/100km, which is efficient for an 8-seater bus. Service intervals are generally every 15,000 km or 12 months, and Mercedes-Benz maintains one of the most comprehensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. As a GCC-spec Falcon Edition, this vehicle retains its value far better than European imports, with an expected annual depreciation rate of approximately 12-15% in the local market.

Performance & Capability

The 211 hp turbocharged engine delivers smooth, linear power, allowing the V 250 to reach 100 km/h in approximately 9.4 seconds. While not a sports car, it is engineered for stable high-speed cruising on the E11 and E311, maintaining exceptional composure even when fully loaded with eight passengers. The rear-wheel-drive layout and Agility Control suspension ensure a tight turning circle and a comfortable ride that masks the vehicle's significant length during city maneuvers.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior is designed to combat the intense GCC summer with a powerful tri-zone climate control system and dedicated rear cooling vents for every row. The 8-seat layout features premium leather and captain chairs that provide exceptional support during long drives to Muscat or Salalah. Acoustic glass helps keep the cabin whisper-quiet, while the integrated cool-box in the center console is a genuine necessity for staying refreshed during the warmer months.

Safety

Safety is paramount in the V 250, which comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite including Blind Spot Assist and Lane Keeping Assist, both essential for fast-moving multi-lane highway traffic. The Falcon Edition includes eight airbags and Crosswind Assist, a vital feature for maintaining stability when driving on open desert roads during gusty conditions. A 360-degree camera system is standard, making parking this Extra Long variant effortless in tight urban spaces.

The bottom line

This Falcon Edition Extra Long is the perfect opportunity for a UAE family or business looking for the highest tier of Mercedes MPV luxury with the peace of mind of GCC-specific cooling and local service history.
