Summary

This 2021 Nissan Patrol SE Platinum City is a standout choice for GCC families who want legendary capability without the V8 running costs. The grey exterior is a neutral, high-demand choice that maintains excellent resale liquidity in the local market. As the highest V6 trim, it bridges the gap between rugged utility and high-end luxury, offering features often reserved for the LE models. With a massive fuel tank designed for long-distance cruising, it remains the definitive long-haul cruiser for trips across the Emirates or into Oman. This specific listing offers a significant equipment advantage over standard SE models, making it a highly desirable mid-lifecycle opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2021 Nissan Patrols

With 124,000 km, this vehicle reflects typical highway use for a GCC-based large SUV, where annual averages often reach 30,000 km. The grey exterior is a practical choice for the region, offering better heat management than darker shades while remaining a staple for strong resale value. Unlike lower-mileage base trims, this SE Platinum City offers the full suite of luxury tech that serious buyers in the UAE market specifically look for.

SE PLATINUM CITY vs Lower Trims

The Platinum City trim is a major step up from the SE Titanium and SE T2, adding 20-inch alloy wheels and the advanced Intelligent Around View Monitor with 360-degree coverage. Inside, you get premium quilted leather upholstery and a 13-speaker Bose audio system, providing a cabin experience that rivals the V8 LE Platinum. It also includes the 'City' bumper design, giving it a more sophisticated, road-focused aesthetic preferred for urban driving in Dubai and Riyadh.

Nissan Patrol vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser, the Patrol offers a more refined and tech-heavy interior at a similar price point. Its 140-litre fuel tank provides a significant range advantage over rivals like the Ford Expedition for long desert highway stretches. While competitors may offer smaller turbocharged engines, the Patrol's naturally aspirated 4.0L V6 is widely regarded in the GCC for its superior long-term heat tolerance and mechanical simplicity.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 provides a more economical entry point to Patrol ownership, with real-world fuel consumption averaging around 11.8 to 13.5 L/100km depending on city traffic. Nissan has one of the most robust service networks in the Middle East, with authorized centers in every major city from Abu Dhabi to Kuwait City, ensuring parts are always accessible. The Patrol remains a resale champion in the UAE, typically retaining 70-75% of its value over three years, far outperforming European luxury SUV alternatives.

Performance & Capability

The 275 hp V6 is paired with a smooth 7-speed automatic transmission, delivering a limited top speed of 200 km/h and steady overtaking power on the E11. Its All-Wheel Drive system includes selectable terrain modes—Sand, On-road, Snow, and Rock—allowing you to transition from the school run to weekend camping in the dunes with ease. With a ground clearance of approximately 273 mm, it handles uneven wadi terrain and high curbs with total confidence.

Comfort & Cabin

This 8-seater configuration is ideal for large families, featuring a powerful triple-zone climate control system designed specifically to combat 45°C+ summer temperatures. The Platinum City trim includes ventilated front seats and dedicated ceiling-mounted vents that ensure rear passengers stay cool even in direct sunlight. Dual 8-inch rear entertainment screens keep children occupied during cross-country drives, while the acoustic glass helps isolate the cabin from wind noise at highway speeds.

Safety

Equipped with Nissan’s Intelligent Safety Shield, this trim includes standard features like Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Intervention, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. These systems are invaluable for navigating the fast-moving, multi-lane traffic common in the GCC. The inclusion of an Intelligent Around View Monitor provides a bird's-eye view, making the parking of this large SUV effortless in tight urban spaces.

The bottom line

For the buyer who needs a bulletproof 8-seater with top-tier luxury features and a regional service network that never fails, this SE Platinum City is the most sensible and prestigious V6 option on the market today.
