• 140-litre fuel tank capacity
• Extensive GCC authorised service network

Summary

This 2021 Nissan Patrol LE Platinum offers a strong balance of high-trim luxury and the proven durability of the V8 powertrain. With 81,000 km, the mileage is well within the expected range for a large GCC SUV, suggesting it has been used efficiently for highway travel. The Black exterior remains a highly desirable and stable resale choice for the region's pre-owned market. As the LE Platinum, it provides the most comprehensive feature set available for the 400 hp model, making it a more premium long-term asset than the SE or Titanium variants. For a buyer in the Gulf, the reliability of the Y62 platform and the strength of local parts support make this a primary choice for a high-occupancy family vehicle.

This Car vs Other 2021 Patrols

At 81,000 km, this vehicle's usage sits slightly below the typical GCC annual average of 25,000 km, making it a well-preserved example for its age. The Black exterior is a top-tier resale color in the regional market, offering better value retention than niche or lighter shades. While many 2021 models found locally are V6 variants, this V8 edition provides the superior towing and highway performance preferred by local buyers.

LE PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The LE Platinum significantly upgrades the interior over the Titanium trim with genuine quilted leather upholstery and a 13-speaker Bose premium audio system. It includes the advanced Hydraulic Body Motion Control (HBMC) system for better cornering stability, a feature absent on lower SE models. Owners also benefit from a built-in refrigerator in the center console and 10.1-inch rear entertainment screens, which are essential for long family road trips in the heat.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, the Patrol offers a larger 140-litre fuel tank, providing superior range for long-distance travel between emirates or across borders. It leads the Chevrolet Tahoe in interior material quality, featuring more soft-touch surfaces and specialized quilted stitching in this Platinum trim. The V8's naturally aspirated power delivery is often preferred for its linear response during desert driving compared to the smaller turbocharged engines of some newer rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 5.6L V8 typically averages between 16–18 L/100 km in GCC conditions, reflecting heavy air-conditioning use and stop-start city traffic. Authorized service centers are widely available across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring low-cost parts access and expert maintenance. The Patrol remains one of the slowest-depreciating vehicles in the GCC, typically retaining a high percentage of its value even after 100,000 km.

Performance & Capability

The 400 hp V8 engine delivers a smooth 560 Nm of torque, allowing for effortless highway overtaking even when fully loaded with eight passengers. It features a specialized low-range transfer case and selectable terrain modes—Sand, On-road, Snow, and Rock—making it highly capable for weekend desert excursions. The vehicle's 273 mm of ground clearance and heavy-duty suspension are specifically engineered to handle the thermal and physical demands of the Middle East.

Comfort & Cabin

The eight-seat layout is designed for maximum family utility, featuring a tri-zone climate control system with dedicated vents for all three rows to ensure rapid cooling during summer. The front seats are both heated and ventilated, providing essential comfort during extreme temperature peaks. High-grade acoustic glass significantly reduces wind and road noise, maintaining a quiet cabin environment even at high cruising speeds.

Safety

This trim is equipped with Nissan Intelligent Mobility, featuring Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection and a 360-degree Around View Monitor for easier parking of this large SUV. Standard safety tech includes Blind Spot Intervention and Lane Intervention, which are highly effective for managing fast-moving highway traffic. The vehicle also features seven airbags and a reinforced body-on-frame structure for enhanced occupant protection.

The bottom line

This Patrol is the ideal choice for a buyer seeking the ultimate GCC family workhorse that balances prestige with bulletproof V8 reliability. It represents a rare opportunity to own a high-spec, well-maintained Black-on-Beige Platinum edition that is perfectly suited for both city commutes and desert adventures.
