• Braked towing capacity of 2,700 kg

Summary

This 2021 Black Badge edition presents a compelling opportunity for those seeking the ultimate expression of the Cullinan in the UAE. As the more powerful and visually assertive version of the standard SUV, it features darkened chrome and a sharper chassis setup that remains unparalleled in its segment. With 67,000 km, this example sits slightly above the regional average for its age but benefits from the durability of its BMW-sourced V12 architecture. Finished in black, the most sought-after resale color for this model in the GCC, it offers better long-term value retention than lighter palettes. For a buyer in the Middle East, the transition to this European-spec vehicle is seamless due to the widespread availability of specialized Rolls-Royce service centers across major cities like Dubai and Riyadh.

This Car vs Other 2021 Cullinans

While its 67,000 km mileage is higher than typical 'garage queen' examples, it reflects a vehicle that has been enjoyed on the long-distance UAE highways it was built to conquer. The black-on-black aesthetic of this Black Badge is the highest-performing color combination for resale in the local market. Compared to standard 2021 models, this unit carries a significant premium in presence and technical capability.

BLACK BADGE vs Lower Trims

The Black Badge is more than an appearance package; it increases the V12's output by 29 hp and adds a substantial 50 Nm of torque for more effortless highway overtaking. It introduces the 'Low' mode on the gear selector, which sharpens the 8-speed transmission and opens the baffles on the bespoke exhaust system for a more authoritative engine note. Inside, you receive the technical carbon fiber trim and the darkened 'Spirit of Ecstasy' that are missing from the base Cullinan.

Cullinan vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus focus on outright speed, the Cullinan leads with its 'Magic Carpet Ride' air suspension that irons out road imperfections more effectively. It offers a larger 100-litre fuel tank, providing superior range for cross-border drives between the Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The rear 'Coach Doors' offer a level of ingress and egress dignity that no other luxury SUV in the segment can match.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the twin-turbo V12 averages around 16.3 L/100km, though this can rise in stop-start Dubai traffic. As a European-spec vehicle, it uses the same mechanical hardware as local units, ensuring full parts compatibility at authorized Rolls-Royce service centers in the UAE and wider GCC. The Black Badge trim typically retains 5–8% more value after three years compared to the standard trim, making it the smarter financial choice for long-term ownership.

Performance & Capability

The 600 PS output allows this 2.7-tonne SUV to reach 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, a remarkable feat that ensures confidence during high-speed merges. Its all-wheel-drive system is paired with a dedicated 'Off-Road' mode that optimizes torque delivery for sandy terrain and gravel tracks common during weekend escapes. With a maximum towing capacity of 2,700 kg, it is one of the few ultra-luxury vehicles capable of effortlessly hauling marine craft or horse trailers.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the intense GCC summer, featuring a high-capacity air conditioning system and ventilated seats that are essential for the local climate. The Black Badge interior is distinguished by its 'Technical Carbon' weave and the iconic Starlight Headliner, creating an unmatched evening ambiance during city drives. Thick acoustic glass and extensive soundproofing ensure the interior remains whisper-quiet even at cruising speeds on the E11 highway.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on this trim includes a comprehensive ADAS suite with Night Vision, Vision Assist, and a 4-camera panoramic view system for easy maneuvering in tight urban spaces. Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Departure Warning provide peace of mind during long desert highway stretches, while the robust aluminum spaceframe architecture provides world-class passive protection for all five occupants.

The bottom line

This Cullinan Black Badge is the ideal choice for a buyer who demands the highest specification and the strongest resale potential in the UAE market. It represents a rare opportunity to own a meticulously maintained icon of luxury that is perfectly suited for both executive commuting and regional touring.
