Summary

This specific Bentley Bentayga represents the absolute peak of the luxury SUV market in the GCC, offering a rare combination of twelve-cylinder power and bespoke craftsmanship. Given its mileage relative to the typical 25,000 km annual average for luxury vehicles in this region, it stands as a exceptionally well-maintained example of the flagship Speed variant. The black exterior is the most sought-after color for high-end SUVs in Dubai and Riyadh, ensuring the strongest possible resale value when you eventually decide to upgrade. Choosing this GCC-spec model provides total peace of mind regarding cooling systems and warranty compatibility across the Middle East. It balances the utility of a family vehicle with the performance of a supercar, making it a versatile choice for the discerning regional owner. For a buyer who demands the maximum available performance without sacrificing an ounce of refinement, this listing is currently the most compelling option on the market.

This Car vs Other 2022 Bentaygas

When comparing this vehicle to other 2022 models currently available in the UAE and wider GCC, the first thing that stands out is the careful usage profile. With just over 31,000 km on the odometer, this car has been driven significantly less than the regional average, where high-speed highway commuting often adds 25,000 km per year to luxury SUVs. The Black-on-Black configuration is a major asset in the local market, as it remains the most liquid color choice for resale in the secondary luxury sector. Unlike many European or American imports found in the region, this is a genuine GCC-spec vehicle, which means it was built from the factory with the 'Hot Climate' pack as standard. This ensures that the radiators, condenser, and interior cooling components are specifically calibrated for the extreme heat of a Khareef or a Shamal summer. You are looking at a vehicle that has spent more time in climate-controlled environments than on the open road, preserving the integrity of the paintwork and the suppleness of the hand-stitched leather.

SPEED vs Lower Trims

Choosing the Speed trim over the V8 or Hybrid variants fundamentally changes the character of the Bentley Bentayga. While lower trims are impressive, the Speed is the only one equipped with the legendary 6.0-liter W12 engine, a masterpiece of engineering that provides effortless torque across the entire rev range. Visually, this trim adds aggressive styling cues including dark-tint headlights, body-colored side skirts, and a unique rear spoiler that signifies its status at the top of the hierarchy. Inside, the Speed features a unique interior design split with Alcantara elements and specific 'Speed' embroidery that you won't find on the standard models. The technical upgrades are even more significant, featuring the Bentley Dynamic Ride system as standard, which uses 48V active roll control to keep the car flat through corners—a feature that is often an expensive option on lower trims. Furthermore, the exhaust note is tuned specifically for this variant, providing a deeper, more resonant growl that perfectly complements the increased power output.

Bentayga vs Segment Rivals

In the ultra-luxury SUV segment, the Bentley Bentayga competes directly with the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and the Lamborghini Urus, yet it carves out a unique niche between them. While the Urus focuses almost entirely on track-like dynamics and the Cullinan on sheer isolation, this Bentley offers a 'best of both worlds' approach that is highly valued by GCC owners who drive themselves. It offers a more understated elegance than the Lamborghini, making it suitable for professional environments in the Dubai International Financial Centre, yet it is noticeably faster and more agile than the Rolls-Royce. The 12-cylinder engine provides a level of smoothness that V8-powered rivals simply cannot match, especially during long-distance drives from Abu Dhabi to Muscat. Additionally, Bentley’s infotainment system and driver aids are widely considered more intuitive for daily use than those found in many boutique Italian competitors. The sheer quality of the interior materials, where every surface is either metal, wood, or leather, sets a benchmark that even high-end German rivals struggle to reach.

Running Costs & Resale

Owning a W12 Bentley in the GCC is a commitment to excellence, and the running costs reflect its high-performance nature. Real-world fuel consumption for the W12 engine typically averages around 14.5L/100km on the highway, though this will increase in the stop-start traffic of downtown Riyadh or Dubai. The car requires high-octane Super 98 fuel to maintain its performance standards, which is readily available at all ENOC, ADNOC, and Sasref stations across the region. Service intervals are generally every 16,000 km or once a year, and Bentley has a robust service network with flagship centers in every major GCC capital, ensuring that expert technicians are always within reach. While luxury SUVs in this price bracket do see depreciation, the Speed trim historically holds its value better than the V8 models because of its rarity and the fact that the W12 engine is being phased out. At the three-year mark, a well-maintained GCC-spec Speed retains a higher percentage of its original MSRP compared to its European-spec counterparts, primarily due to the localized warranty and service history.

Performance & Capability

The performance figures for this vehicle are nothing short of staggering for a five-seat SUV, with a 0-100 km/h time of just 3.9 seconds. The top speed is rated at 306 km/h, making it one of the fastest production SUVs in the world, a capability that ensures effortless overtaking on the E11 highway. The automatic transmission is tuned to handle the massive torque of the W12 engine, providing shifts that are virtually imperceptible during normal driving but lightning-fast when Sport mode is engaged. For those who enjoy weekend escapes, the permanent all-wheel-drive system and adjustable air suspension provide enough ground clearance to handle graded gravel tracks and sandy paths leading to private desert retreats. There are four on-road drive modes, including a 'Bentley' mode that was specifically calibrated by Crewe engineers to provide the ideal balance between comfort and engagement. Despite its size, the rear-wheel steering (if equipped) or the active roll stabilization makes the vehicle feel much smaller and more nimble than a standard SUV when navigating tight city streets.

Comfort & Cabin

The interior of the Bentley Bentayga is widely regarded as one of the finest cabins ever put into an automobile, featuring five-seat versatility without compromising on luxury. For the GCC climate, the four-zone climate control system is exceptionally powerful, capable of dropping the cabin temperature rapidly even after the car has been parked in the sun. Both front and rear seats offer heating and ventilation, which is a critical feature for comfort during the peak summer months. The Naim for Bentley audio system is standard on this trim level, providing 1,780 Watts of power through 20 speakers, creating a concert-hall experience that masks any outside wind or road noise. Double-glazed acoustic glass further insulates the cabin, ensuring that long-distance drives across the Emirates are whisper-quiet. The boot space is generous enough for several full-sized suitcases, making it an ideal vehicle for family trips or airport runs for visiting VIPs. Every piece of wood veneer is mirror-matched and hand-polished, reflecting a level of detail that is simply not found in mass-produced luxury cars.

Safety

Safety in the Bentley Bentayga is handled by a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) that are particularly useful in the unique driving environment of the GCC. The adaptive cruise control features a stop-and-go function, which is a life-saver in the heavy congestion of Sheikh Zayed Road. Blind-spot monitoring and lane-keep assist provide an extra layer of security when navigating the fast-moving, multi-lane highways common in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The night vision system uses infra-red cameras to detect pedestrians or animals on unlit desert roads at night, providing a warning long before they are visible in the headlights. The car is also equipped with a 360-degree camera system with 3D views, making it remarkably easy to park this large SUV in tight mall parking spaces. With a high-strength steel and aluminum body structure and a full array of airbags, it provides the maximum possible protection for all five occupants.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Speed is the ultimate acquisition for a buyer who refuses to settle for the standard V8 experience, offering a low-mileage entry into the exclusive W12 club. It represents a secure investment in both performance and prestige, perfectly suited for the demands of high-speed regional travel and executive daily use.
