Summary

This GCC-spec BMW X4 xDrive 30i strikes a sharp balance between aggressive M Sport styling and everyday efficiency. With a white exterior—a high-demand, high-resale color in the local market—it remains thermally efficient and aesthetically timeless. Having covered 57,000 km over 4 years, its mileage is exactly aligned with the typical annual average for a well-maintained executive vehicle in the region. The X4 stands out for its 'Sports Activity Coupe' silhouette, offering a more athletic stance than its X3 sibling without sacrificing premium cabin tech. For the GCC buyer, this represents a reliable, modern German SUV that handles the fast-paced heat of city commuting and long-distance desert highways with equal poise.

This Car vs Other 2022 X4s

At 57,000 km, this vehicle's mileage is considered average for a 4-year-old car in the GCC, where 15,000 km per year is the standard for executive commuters. Its white exterior is the most preferred color for the region, providing a significant advantage for future resale value compared to darker alternatives. Being a GCC-spec model, it is fully optimized for the local climate and benefits from easier serviceability at authorized centers across the Emirates.

xDrive 30i M Sport Pack vs Lower Trims

The xDrive 30i trim provides a significant power bump over the base xDrive 20i, moving from 181 hp to a more robust 248 hp. The M Sport Package further elevates the spec with aerodynamic body styling, an M steering wheel, and upgraded 19-inch Y-spoke wheels. Inside, you get the larger 12.3-inch Live Cockpit Professional displays as standard, which were optional or smaller on earlier base models.

X4 vs Segment Rivals

The BMW X4 leads the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe and Audi Q5 Sportback in driver engagement, offering a more communicative chassis and a faster-reacting 8-speed Steptronic transmission. Its iDrive system remains the benchmark for cabin tech usability in the GCC, especially when navigating multi-lane highway systems. While rivals focus on soft luxury, the X4 maintains a firmer, more planted feel at high cruising speeds.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the xDrive 30i averages roughly 8.7 L/100km on combined cycles, though GCC stop-start traffic may see this rise slightly. BMW's authorized service network is extensive across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, typically operating on 10,000 km to 12,000 km intervals. The X4 retains value well in the local market, typically seeing 12-15% annual depreciation, which is competitive for the premium European SUV segment.

Performance & Capability

The 2.0L turbocharged engine delivers a verified 0–100 km/h time of 6.3 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power for fast-moving UAE highways. The xDrive all-wheel-drive system ensures maximum traction during the occasional rainstorm or on gravel tracks leading to weekend getaway spots. With a top speed of 210 km/h, it offers a refined and stable cruising experience during long cross-border drives to Muscat or Riyadh.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is centered around the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a matching 12.3-inch central touchscreen, creating a highly modern environment. Standard sport seats provide excellent lateral support, while the three-zone automatic climate control is specifically designed to cool the cabin rapidly even in peak summer temperatures. The interior is exceptionally well-insulated, keeping highway wind noise and external heat at bay.

Safety

This X4 comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety tech including Active Blind Spot Detection, which is essential for multi-lane highway driving in the region. Standard features include Lane Departure Warning, Frontal Collision Warning with City Collision Mitigation, and a 360-degree parking sensor array. These systems, combined with the structural integrity of BMW's SAV chassis, provide high-level protection for both city and long-distance travel.

The bottom line

This is a prime opportunity for a buyer seeking the prestige of the M Sport badge with the sensible running costs of a 4-cylinder engine. In this color and mileage bracket, it represents a secure, high-resale investment for a GCC professional.
