Summary

This Dodge Challenger RT Scat Pack Widebody stands as a high-performance alternative for those who find the base R/T too soft and the Hellcat too extreme for daily GCC use. With only 52,360 km over 4 years, it has seen significantly less use than the 80,000–100,000 km typically expected for this age in the region. The Blue exterior is a classic muscle car shade that maintains consistent demand in the secondary market, especially when paired with the aggressive Widebody stance. This model year represents one of the final opportunities to own the naturally aspirated 392 HEMI before the lineage transitions to smaller forced-induction engines. For a GCC buyer, the primary advantage here is a balance of raw V8 character with a cooling system capable of handling summer highway cruising without the heat-soak issues often found in supercharged rivals.

This Car vs Other 2022 Challengers

Compared to the average 2022 Challenger in the UAE and wider GCC, which typically covers 20,000 km annually, this example's mileage is notably low. While many listed units are base V6 trims, this Scat Pack offers the more desirable 6.4L engine that historically retains a higher percentage of its value. As a Canadian spec vehicle, it offers the same mechanical robusteness as GCC models, though buyers should verify local service history for maintenance consistency.

RT SCAT PACK WIDE BODY vs Lower Trims

The Scat Pack Widebody is a major leap over the standard R/T, replacing the 5.7L engine with the more powerful 485 hp 392 HEMI V8. It adds the essential Widebody kit which includes fender flares, 20x11-inch wheels, and adaptive damping suspension for superior lateral grip. Inside, you get the larger 8.4-inch touchscreen with specialized SRT Performance Pages to monitor G-force and engine metrics in real-time.

Challenger vs Segment Rivals

The Challenger leads rivals like the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro in pure cabin practicality, offering a genuinely usable three-passenger rear bench and a class-leading 459-liter boot. Its longer wheelbase makes it a superior cruiser for the long highway stretches between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. While rivals focus on track agility, the Challenger prioritizes a comfortable, high-speed touring experience that suits the GCC infrastructure.

Running Costs & Resale

The naturally aspirated 6.4L HEMI is mechanically straightforward, with service intervals typically every 10,000 km. While fuel consumption reflects the V8's displacement in city traffic, it remains efficient on cruise control during cross-country drives. Authorized service centers like Trading Enterprises in the UAE and United Motors in KSA provide extensive parts support, ensuring high resale desirability for well-maintained V8 models.

Performance & Capability

The 6.4L V8 delivers a verified 0–100 km/h time of approximately 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 275 km/h. The Widebody package includes six-piston front Brembo brakes, providing the stopping power needed for fast-moving highway traffic. Selectable drive modes—including Track, Sport, and Custom—allow you to stiffen the suspension and sharpen gear shifts for enthusiast driving.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, you'll find a five-seat layout that is surprisingly spacious for a performance coupe, featuring bolstered sport seats designed for long-distance support. The cabin is well-insulated from exterior road noise, and the dual-zone climate control is engineered to keep the interior cool even in peak 45°C summer heat. The premium audio system and Uconnect interface provide seamless connectivity for modern daily commuting.

Safety

Standard safety features include a 360-degree parking sensor array and a high-definition rearview camera, which are vital for maneuvering the Widebody's increased width. Advanced stability control and high-performance Brembo braking systems provide confidence during sudden stops on sandy or high-speed road surfaces. The vehicle also features blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-path detection to assist in multi-lane highway navigation.

The bottom line

This is the ideal choice for an enthusiast who wants the presence of a Widebody Dodge without the high maintenance of a supercharged engine. It offers a rare combination of low mileage and the most iconic naturally aspirated V8 in the segment.
