Summary

This 2022 Ford Edge Titanium represents a highly practical choice for GCC drivers, offering a sophisticated grey finish that holds its value well in the local secondary market. With mileage significantly below the average for a two-year-old vehicle in this region, it maintains the mechanical tightness expected of a newer SUV. The Titanium trim elevates the experience beyond a standard commuter, adding high-end cabin refinements that make long highway stretches between emirates effortless. As one of the few mid-size crossovers in its segment to offer standard all-wheel drive, it provides superior stability during sudden winter rain or on loose gravel tracks. For those seeking a balance of American comfort and GCC-spec reliability, this listing is a standout opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2022 Ford Edges

With just over 43,000 km, this Edge has been driven significantly less than the typical 50,000 km expected for a two-year-old vehicle in the GCC. The grey exterior is a strategic choice for the region, offering better heat management than black while maintaining higher resale demand than niche colors. This combination of low usage and high-demand spec makes it a top-tier example of the 2022 model year.

TITANIUM vs Lower Trims

The Titanium trim is a significant step up from the SEL and ST-Line, focusing on premium cabin comfort. It upgrades the interior to genuine leather upholstery and adds a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, which is a massive improvement over the standard 6-speaker setup. Additionally, it features driver’s seat memory settings and a hands-free power liftgate, features that add genuine daily convenience in busy city environments.

Edge vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Nissan Murano and Chevrolet Blazer, the Ford Edge leads with a more generous 1,110-litre boot capacity with all seats in place. Its 70-litre fuel tank provides a greater cruising range for long-distance drives across the UAE or into Oman compared to smaller-tank rivals. The inclusion of the SYNC 4A system with a 12-inch vertical screen also gives it a technological edge over many older infotainment layouts in this segment.

Running Costs & Resale

The 2.0L EcoBoost engine is designed for efficiency on the highway while providing enough torque for GCC traffic conditions. Ford's extensive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia ensures that maintenance is straightforward and parts are readily available. The Edge typically sees a depreciation rate of 12-15% annually in the GCC, and as a GCC-spec Titanium model, it is expected to retain a higher percentage of its value than American-spec imports.

Performance & Capability

The 250 hp EcoBoost engine delivers a smooth, turbocharged response that makes highway overtaking confident and safe. The standard All-Wheel Drive system is tuned for on-road stability, providing extra grip during the region's occasional heavy rains or on sandy roads leading to weekend retreats. With a verified towing capacity of approximately 1,588 kg when properly equipped, it is more than capable of hauling light trailers or jet skis for coastal getaways.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is specifically designed for five-passenger comfort, featuring dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control that is vital for the intense GCC summer. Acoustic laminated glass helps isolate the interior from road noise during high-speed highway cruising, while the Titanium-exclusive leather seats provide a more breathable and premium feel than synthetic alternatives. Rear passengers benefit from dedicated cooling vents, ensuring the entire cabin remains comfortable even when temperatures exceed 45°C.

Safety

This Edge Titanium comes equipped with the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite, featuring Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, which is essential for multi-lane driving in Dubai and Riyadh. The Lane-Keeping System and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking provide an extra layer of protection during long desert drives. It also includes eight standard airbags and a reinforced safety cage, contributing to its high safety ratings in international testing.

The bottom line

Perfect for small families or professionals who value low-mileage reliability and premium audio, this GCC-spec Titanium is one of the most balanced mid-size SUVs currently available in the market.
