Summary

This 2022 Mustang GT Premium Convertible offers a powerful and high-spec open-top experience that perfectly suits the UAE's lifestyle. With average annual mileage for its age in the GCC, this V8 cruiser has been driven reasonably and is well-prepared for years of highway enjoyment. The GT Premium trim is highly coveted in the local market for its upgraded interior materials and cooling features, which provide a significant advantage during the summer months. Blue is a vibrant choice that stands out in a sea of monochrome cars, maintaining solid resale appeal for enthusiasts. For any buyer in the region, the combination of the iconic Coyote engine and a power-folding top makes this the ultimate vehicle for coastal drives and weekend escapes.

This Car vs Other 2022 Mustangs

With 41,000 km over 4 years, this Mustang has averaged roughly 10,000 km per year—significantly lower than the typical GCC average of 20,000 km. This lower-than-average usage makes it an attractive find for buyers prioritizing mechanical longevity. While American spec vehicles are common, the low mileage and Premium trim level help this specific unit maintain a strong position against higher-mileage GCC-spec alternatives.

GT PREMIUM vs Lower Trims

The GT Premium trim is a major step up from the base GT, adding essential comfort features for the GCC climate, including leather-trimmed ventilated and heated front seats. It also replaces the basic 4.2-inch display with the 8-inch SYNC 3 infotainment system and adds a premium 9-speaker audio system. These upgrades are not just about luxury; they are high-demand features that directly influence resale value in the local used market.

Mustang vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Chevrolet Camaro SS or Dodge Challenger, the Mustang GT leads with its high-revving 5.0L Coyote V8 engine architecture, which offers a more modern DOHC design. It provides better outward visibility and a more ergonomic interior layout than the Camaro, making it a more practical daily driver for Dubai's multi-lane highways. Additionally, the Mustang's trunk space is more usable for weekend trips between emirates compared to its closest rivals.

Running Costs & Resale

The 5.0L V8 engine typically sees fuel consumption of around 16.6 L/100km in city traffic and 10.0 L/100km on long highway stretches like the E11. Service is straightforward across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with extensive authorized networks including Al Tayer Motors and Al Jazirah Vehicles. The Mustang enjoys some of the best value retention in the sports car segment, benefiting from a massive local enthusiast community and readily available parts.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with the 10-speed automatic transmission, this convertible hits 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power for the fast-paced GCC roads. The rear-wheel-drive setup and selectable drive modes allow the driver to tailor the car's behavior for relaxed cruising or more spirited drives at the Autodrome. Its naturally aspirated engine is renowned for durability, handling the extreme summer heat more predictably than smaller, high-boost turbocharged alternatives.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for four passengers and features dual-zone automatic climate control to ensure rapid cooling after being parked in the sun. The power-folding soft top can be operated quickly, allowing you to transition from a quiet, insulated cabin to an open-air experience in seconds. Premium leather-trimmed seats and soft-touch materials throughout the dash provide a more refined environment than the standard GT model.

Safety

This Mustang comes standard with the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite, including Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, which is vital for navigating heavy highway traffic. It also features Lane-Keeping Assist and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking. These active safety systems, combined with a 5-star NHTSA overall safety rating, provide peace of mind during both city commutes and long-distance desert drives.

The bottom line

This is an ideal opportunity for a buyer seeking a low-mileage, high-spec V8 convertible that combines iconic American muscle with the essential luxury features needed for the GCC climate.
