Summary

This 2022 GMC Yukon AT4 is a standout find in the GCC market, combining the most desirable 6.2L V8 engine with incredibly low mileage for its age. At just over 25,000 km, this vehicle has seen significantly less use than the typical 20,000 km per year average common in the region, offering a nearly-new mechanical state. The black exterior is the premier choice for resale liquidity in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, maintaining a sharp, executive look that never goes out of style. As the off-road-focused AT4 trim, it provides a unique middle ground between the luxury of a Denali and the utility of an SLT, specifically engineered to handle desert terrain. For the GCC buyer, this regional spec SUV offers the upgraded cooling capacity and durability required for extreme summer heat and long-distance cross-border drives.

This Car vs Other 2022 GMC Yukons

With only 25,629 km on the odometer, this Yukon AT4 is a rare low-mileage example in a market where these family haulers typically cover 40,000–50,000 km by their second year. The black exterior is a high-demand resale color in the GCC, ensuring this specific unit will retain its value better than lighter or niche shades. Choosing a GCC-spec 2022 model also ensures full compatibility with local authorized service centers and regional map software.

AT4 vs Lower Trims

The AT4 trim significantly upgrades the Yukon's capability over the SLT, adding a heavy-duty skid plate, a 2-speed transfer case for low-range off-roading, and red recovery hooks. It is also the first trim level to feature the distinctive 32-degree approach angle front bumper and 20-inch wheels with Goodyear all-terrain tires as standard. Inside, it adds unique Jet Black perforated leather with Brandy accents that differentiate it from the standard family-oriented trims.

Yukon vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Chevrolet Tahoe Z71 and Nissan Patrol, the Yukon AT4 leads with its sophisticated Magnetic Ride Control, which adaptively adjusts to GCC highway conditions and rough desert tracks in milliseconds. The 6.2L V8 provides effortless overtaking power on 140 km/h highways that smaller displacement rivals can struggle with when fully loaded. Additionally, the Yukon offers a flatter-folding third row, providing superior cargo flexibility for large families.

Running Costs & Resale

The 6.2L V8 typically returns a combined fuel consumption of 14.7 L/100km, making it suitable for the long highway distances common between GCC cities. Service intervals are recommended every 10,000 km at authorized GMC centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, ensuring consistent maintenance is easily accessible. Historically, GCC-spec Yukon AT4s hold their value exceptionally well, with a depreciation rate roughly 3-5% lower than American-spec imports.

Performance & Capability

Producing 420 hp and 624 Nm of torque, this Yukon handles highway merging and heavy towing with ease. The Active Response 4WD system includes an electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD), which is vital for maintaining traction when navigating soft sand during weekend desert escapes. The selectable Traction Select System allows the driver to instantly optimize the chassis for Off-Road, Sport, or Tow/Haul modes depending on the terrain.

Comfort & Cabin

This 8-seater configuration features powerful triple-zone climate control and rear cooling vents essential for the GCC summer. The cabin is equipped with ventilated front seats and a Bose 9-speaker premium audio system, providing a quiet and refined environment during long road trips. Acoustic laminated glass and active noise cancellation ensure that even at highway speeds, the cabin remains insulated from desert wind noise.

Safety

Standard safety technology includes Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, providing peace of mind on high-speed arterial roads. The 360-degree High Definition Surround Vision camera is a standard feature on this trim, making parking this large SUV in tight city malls effortless. GMC’s specialized StabiliTrak system provides enhanced stability on gravel and sand surfaces common in the region.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who needs a rugged, off-road capable vehicle without sacrificing premium family comfort, this low-mileage 6.2L AT4 represents the best-maintained example of its model year currently on the market.
