Summary

This 2022 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 offers an exceptional opportunity to acquire an ultra-luxury SUV with just 15,000 km, significantly below the typical GCC annual mileage for high-end cruisers. Finished in a sophisticated Blue, it stands out from the common monochromatic fleet while maintaining strong resale appeal in the regional market. As the pinnacle of the GLS range, it bridges the gap between traditional family SUVs and bespoke luxury saloons, offering a more refined cabin experience than its segment rivals. For a buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, this vehicle represents the perfect balance of massive road presence and unrivaled rear-seat comfort, ideal for both executive commuting and cross-emirate travel.

This Car vs Other 2022 GLS 600s

With only 15,000 km on the odometer, this example has been driven less than 5,000 km per year, which is exceptionally low compared to the GCC average of 20,000–25,000 km. While many pre-owned units in the market have already faced heavy highway use between major cities, this car remains in near-new mechanical condition. The Blue exterior is a premium choice that offers a distinctive look without the long-term resale volatility associated with more experimental shades.

MAYBACH vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the Maybach trim replaces the standard seven-seat layout with a first-class four or five-seat configuration, prioritizing massive rear legroom and passenger indulgence. It introduces exclusive hardware like the E-Active Body Control suspension with a dedicated 'Maybach' drive mode, and interior upgrades including ventilated, massaging seats for all passengers and a refrigerated compartment. These features are highly valued in the GCC for maintaining cabin comfort during extreme summer temperatures.

GLS 600 vs Segment Rivals

The Maybach GLS 600 competes directly with the Bentley Bentayga and Range Rover Autobiography, offering a larger interior footprint and superior tech integration. While rivals focus on traditional craftsmanship, the Maybach leads with its MBUX infotainment ecosystem and a significantly more extensive authorized service network across the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Its 90-litre fuel tank provides superior cruising range for long desert highway stretches compared to more performance-focused competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 4.0L V8 twin-turbo averages approximately 13.8 L/100km in mixed GCC driving conditions, with higher figures expected in heavy city traffic. Service intervals are typically set at 15,000 km or annually at authorized Mercedes-Benz centers, which are readily available across all GCC nations. As an ultra-luxury flagship, it experiences lower depreciation than standard luxury SUVs, typically retaining high value over a 3-year period due to its exclusivity and status.

Performance & Capability

Despite its substantial presence, the GLS 600 reaches 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, ensuring effortless overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways. The 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system and adjustable air suspension provide 184 mm of standard ground clearance, capable of handling sand-blown roads and gravel tracks with ease. The 558 hp V8 engine is specifically tuned for a smooth, linear power delivery that prioritizes passenger serenity over aggressive shifts.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the GCC heat, featuring a high-performance four-zone climate control system and acoustic glass that isolates the interior from road and wind noise. All five seats are equipped with heating, ventilation, and multiple massage programs, while the rear compartment features dedicated 11.6-inch entertainment screens. The inclusion of a panoramic roof with a thick electric blind ensures the cabin stays bright without compromising cooling efficiency.

Safety

Standard safety equipment includes a comprehensive ADAS suite with Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, which is essential for long-distance cruising on regional motorways. The 360° camera system and Active Parking Assist make maneuvering this large SUV in tight urban environments effortless. It also features Pre-Safe Impulse Side, a system that can move the driver or passenger away from a side impact, providing an extra layer of protection beyond standard airbag coverage.

The bottom line

For the executive buyer seeking the most prestigious SUV experience in the GCC, this low-mileage 2022 Maybach is a smarter, high-value alternative to a brand-new model.
