Summary

This 2024 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 represents a strategic acquisition in the GCC luxury market, offering the prestige of the Maybach nameplate with a mileage profile that aligns perfectly with regional executive use. The Burgundy exterior is a distinguished and high-value choice for the GCC, standing out significantly against common white or silver rivals while maintaining strong resale appeal. As a mild-hybrid V8, it delivers effortless highway performance for long-distance travel between emirates while managing stop-start city traffic with greater refinement than its non-hybrid predecessors. For the buyer seeking the absolute ceiling of the GLS range, this specific listing provides a modern, high-specification alternative to a new factory order with immediate availability. The single most important factor for a GCC owner is the Maybach-specific cooling and suspension systems, which ensure unmatched passenger comfort during the peak summer months.

This Car vs Other 2024 GLS 600s

With 45,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle sits at an average mileage for a 2024 model in the GCC, where annual driving typically reaches 25,000 km due to frequent highway use. The Burgundy paint is a premium color choice that commands a higher presence in the UAE and Saudi markets compared to standard fleet colors. Its GCC specification ensures the air conditioning and cooling systems are optimized for local thermal loads, a critical advantage for long-term reliability and resale value.

MAYBACH vs Lower Trims

The Maybach trim transforms the GLS from a family SUV into a first-class lounge, adding the E-Active Body Control suspension that literally scans the road to iron out imperfections. Inside, it replaces standard seating with individual executive rear chairs featuring power leg rests, massage functions, and dedicated climate zones. It also introduces the exclusive Maybach drive mode, which prioritizes rear-passenger comfort by smoothing out gear changes and minimizing body roll.

GLS 600 vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Bentley Bentayga or Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the GLS 600 leads in cabin technology integration and ease of service through the extensive Mercedes-Benz GCC network. Its mild-hybrid V8 offers a smoother torque delivery for urban driving than the Bentayga's traditional powertrain, while providing a more substantial road presence than the Range Rover Autobiography. For the GCC executive, it strikes the perfect balance between ultra-luxury and daily-driver practicality.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this mild-hybrid V8 typically ranges between 12.0 L/100km and 14.5 L/100km, depending on the balance between high-speed highway cruising and heavy city traffic in hubs like Dubai or Riyadh. Service intervals are set at 15,000 km or one year, supported by a robust network of authorized Mercedes-Benz service centers across all major GCC cities. As a Maybach, it experiences lower annual depreciation than standard GLS models, typically retaining a higher percentage of its value after the three-year mark due to its exclusivity and high demand in the secondary luxury market.

Performance & Capability

The GLS 600 delivers 557 hp and 730 Nm of torque, allowing this massive SUV to reach 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds with a governed top speed of 250 km/h. The 48-volt EQ Boost system provides an additional 250 Nm of electric torque, ensuring instant overtaking power on fast-moving GCC motorways. While it features a capable 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system, its primary strength lies in the E-Active Body Control, which allows the vehicle to 'lean' into corners, providing a flat and stable ride during cross-country drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is a sanctuary of Nappa leather and high-gloss wood, featuring the Burmester High-End 3D surround sound system as standard. For the GCC climate, the four-zone climate control is arguably the best in its class, paired with ventilated and heated seats for every passenger to combat extreme exterior temperatures. The rear cabin is further enhanced by acoustic laminated glass, which significantly reduces wind and road noise during high-speed highway commutes, ensuring the interior remains silent and cool.

Safety

This Maybach comes standard with the full Driver Assistance Package, including DISTRONIC active cruise control, which is essential for safe navigation on the UAE's busy multi-lane highways. It features 360-degree cameras with a transparent hood view, blind-spot monitoring, and active lane-keeping assist to protect occupants in fast-moving traffic. The Pre-Safe Impulse Side system can even raise the vehicle body slightly just before a side impact to better protect passengers, a technology that many luxury rivals only offer as an option.

The bottom line

For the GCC professional who demands Rolls-Royce levels of rear-seat luxury without sacrificing the daily usability and service support of a Mercedes-Benz, this Burgundy Maybach is the definitive choice.
