Summary

This 2022 RAM 1500 TRX is a standout find in the GCC market, combining the most powerful production engine in its class with a mileage that is notably low for a two-year-old desert-capable truck. Finished in white—the region's most popular color for heat reflection and resale stability—this American-spec TRX offers the extreme performance of the Hellcat engine in a high-utility pickup body. It serves as a superior alternative to standard half-ton trucks, offering specialized Bilstein Black Hawk e2 suspension that handles both fast highway cruising and aggressive dune driving with ease. For a buyer in the UAE or wider GCC, this listing represents a rare chance to own a low-mileage example of the definitive performance truck before the segment fully transitions to smaller displacement engines. The combination of its menacing stance and proven supercharged reliability makes it an apex predator on the road and in the sand.

This Car vs Other 2022 RAM 1500s

With only 40,000 km on the odometer, this TRX has been driven roughly 20,000 km per year, which is significantly lower than the typical 25,000+ km annual average for performance pickups in the GCC. While many American-spec imports see heavy use, this example’s mileage suggests it has been a well-kept enthusiast vehicle rather than a high-load workhorse. The white exterior is the optimal choice for the local market, ensuring the highest possible demand and value retention when it comes time to trade.

TRX vs Lower Trims

The TRX is a complete mechanical departure from the Rebel or Laramie trims, featuring a reinforced high-strength steel frame and a body widened by 8 inches to accommodate massive 35-inch tires. It replaces standard shocks with the Bilstein Black Hawk e2 active damping system and adds a dedicated 'Baja' drive mode specifically tuned for high-speed desert traverses. Inside, the TRX upgrades the cabin with a flat-bottom steering wheel, aluminum shift paddles, and a performance-oriented head-up display that lower trims lack.

1500 vs Segment Rivals

The RAM TRX leads the Ford F-150 Raptor and Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 in pure power, offering over 250 additional horsepower than the standard Raptor of the same era. Its massive 125-liter fuel tank (standard on TRX) provides a significant range advantage for long cross-border drives between Dubai and Riyadh compared to smaller-capacity competitors. The TRX’s interior refinement and 12-inch vertical Uconnect display also set a higher standard for cabin technology and material quality in the performance truck segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption reflects the high-output supercharged V8, typically averaging around 19-22 L/100km in mixed GCC driving, though highway cruising can be more efficient. As an American-spec vehicle, it uses standard parts shared with the local RAM network, though specialized suspension components may require sourcing from authorized Mopar centers in the UAE. The TRX holds its value exceptionally well in the GCC due to the discontinued nature of its V8 powertrain, generally depreciating slower than standard luxury SUVs.

Performance & Capability

The supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 delivers 702 hp and 881 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint of 4.5 seconds—a figure that rivals many sports cars at the Dubai Autodrome. It features a 3,500 kg braked towing capacity and a sophisticated 4WD system with a jump-detection feature that prevents driveline damage during desert antics. With 300 mm of ground clearance and 13 inches of front suspension travel, it is purpose-built to dominate the most challenging dunes in the Empty Quarter.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for long-distance GCC road trips, featuring heavily bolstered leather seats that provide support during off-road maneuvers while remaining ventilated for summer comfort. A powerful dual-zone climate control system is paired with rear air vents to ensure all five passengers remain cool in 45°C+ heat. The interior is exceptionally well-insulated, utilizing acoustic glass to keep the supercharger whine audible when desired but muted during relaxed highway cruising.

Safety

Standard safety features include a 360-degree Surround View Camera, which is essential for maneuvering such a wide vehicle in tight city parking. It also features Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path detection, providing peace of mind during fast-moving traffic on the E11. The reinforced frame and heavy-duty braking system—featuring the largest front brakes in its class at 15 inches—ensure maximum stopping power and passenger protection.

The bottom line

This low-mileage, white 2022 TRX is the perfect acquisition for a GCC enthusiast who wants the raw power of a Hellcat in a desert-ready package before these V8 icons become even harder to find.
