Summary

This 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser VXR offers a modern, high-output alternative to the traditional V8, delivering superior acceleration and refined highway cruising. As the premium VXR trim, it provides the most advanced suspension and cabin technology available in the LC300 lineup, ensuring it remains the gold standard for regional owners. With 74,000 km, this vehicle is well-positioned within the typical mileage range for a high-utility SUV in the GCC market. Its white exterior is the most sought-after color in the region, offering maximum heat deflection and maintaining the strongest possible resale value. For the GCC buyer, the Land Cruiser remains the ultimate choice for balancing daily urban luxury with the hardware required for serious desert exploration.

This Car vs Other 2022 Land Cruisers

With 74,000 km on the odometer, this Land Cruiser sits comfortably within the average annual usage range of 20,000–25,000 km typical for the GCC. Unlike lower-mileage examples that often command a significant speculative premium, this unit offers a realistic balance of proven reliability and market-aligned value. The white exterior is a strategic choice for the UAE climate, providing the highest resale liquidity and best thermal performance during peak summer months.

VXR vs Lower Trims

The VXR trim is a substantial upgrade over the GXR, replacing standard dampers with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) and the more sophisticated Electronic Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (E-KDSS). Inside, the VXR adds a 12.3-inch high-resolution infotainment screen, a premium 14-speaker JBL audio system, and a Head-Up Display that are not standard on lower grades. These features, along with ventilated seating and a 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor, make the VXR the preferred choice for those prioritizing luxury and tech.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Nissan Patrol or the Chevrolet Tahoe, the Land Cruiser LC300 leads with its specialized TNGA-F body-on-frame architecture that is specifically engineered for high-heat, high-torque durability. Its 110-litre dual fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for long cross-border drives compared to many unibody rivals. Furthermore, the Land Cruiser consistently retains the highest percentage of its original value in the GCC used market, outperforming European and American competitors by a significant margin.

Running Costs & Resale

Fuel consumption for the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 averages between 9 and 10 km/L, offering improved efficiency over the previous generation's 5.7L V8 while providing more torque. Maintenance is straightforward with a massive network of authorized service centers across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider GCC, with recommended intervals every 10,000 km. The Land Cruiser remains the most liquid asset in the regional automotive market, typically depreciating at a lower rate than any other SUV in its class.

Performance & Capability

The twin-turbocharged V6 produces 409 hp and a massive 650 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 6.7 seconds—impressive for a vehicle of this size. This performance translates into effortless highway overtaking and dominant capability in deep sand, supported by the Multi-Terrain Select system. With 235 mm of ground clearance and a 10-speed automatic transmission, it manages high-speed desert traverses and city traffic with equal composure.

Comfort & Cabin

The VXR cabin is designed for seven passengers, featuring premium leather upholstery and multi-zone climate control with powerful rear vents essential for the GCC summer. Front and second-row seats are ventilated to ensure comfort during long daytime journeys between emirates. A factory-integrated cool box in the center console and high-quality acoustic glass provide a quiet, chilled sanctuary even when external temperatures exceed 45°C.

Safety

Standard on this trim is the full Toyota Safety Sense suite, featuring Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, and a Pre-Collision System. For the fast-moving multi-lane highways of the GCC, the Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert provide essential awareness. The VXR also includes 10 airbags and a reinforced cabin structure, ensuring it meets the highest global safety standards for family transport.

The bottom line

This VXR is the perfect opportunity for a buyer seeking the pinnacle of LC300 luxury and technology in the most resale-friendly color combination available in the GCC today.
