Summary

This Land Cruiser 300 Series represents a strong opportunity in the GCC market, combining the most sought-after black exterior with mileage that is well below the regional average for a four-year-old vehicle. The GXR trim strikes the perfect balance for local buyers, offering essential luxury upgrades and advanced safety systems without the extreme price premium of the ZX or GR-Sport. As the definitive choice for Gulf roads, this model provides unmatched peace of mind thanks to Toyota's massive regional service infrastructure. Whether you are navigating heavy city traffic in Riyadh or long highway stretches between emirates, this twin-turbo V6 offers a more refined and responsive drive than its V8 predecessor.

This Car vs Other 2022 Land Cruisers

With 68,000 km on the odometer, this vehicle has averaged just 17,000 km per year, significantly lower than the typical 25,000 km seen in the GCC. The black exterior is among the most desirable colors for resale in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring high demand when it comes time to upgrade. Choosing a GCC-spec 2022 model also guarantees full compatibility with local fuel grades and authorized service center software.

GXR vs Lower Trims

The GXR trim provides a meaningful upgrade over the base EXR, most notably adding synthetic leather upholstery and a power-adjustable driver seat that better handle the local climate. Tech-focused buyers will appreciate the addition of the Panoramic View Monitor and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, features that are often missing on lower variants. It also includes 18-inch alloy wheels and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, giving the cabin a more executive feel.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Nissan Patrol, the Land Cruiser 300 Series offers a more modern 10-speed automatic transmission and the weight-saving advantages of the TNGA-F platform. Its 110-litre fuel capacity is ideal for cross-border GCC travel, often outlasting rivals like the Ford Expedition on long desert stretches. Toyota's resale value in the Middle East remains the benchmark, typically retaining a higher percentage of its value after three years than any other full-size SUV.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 typically ranges between 14-16 L/100km in mixed GCC driving conditions, a noted improvement over the previous 5.7L V8. Maintenance is straightforward with service intervals every 10,000 km at any authorized Toyota center across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. This model enjoys some of the lowest depreciation rates in the region, losing approximately 8-10% annually, making it a very stable financial asset.

Performance & Capability

The 409 hp twin-turbo V6 delivers a prompt 0-100 km/h time of 6.7 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on high-speed highways like the E11. It retains legendary off-road hardware, including a low-range transfer case and 235 mm of ground clearance for weekend desert excursions. The Multi-Terrain Select system allows the driver to toggle between specialized modes for sand, rock, and mud, ensuring the car remains composed regardless of the surface.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat layout is designed for family logistics, featuring a powerful multi-zone climate control system that is specifically engineered to combat 45-degree summer temperatures. Ventilated front seats come standard on this trim, providing essential relief during long afternoon drives. The cabin is well-insulated from exterior road noise, and the 9-inch infotainment system includes full smartphone integration for seamless navigation across the Gulf.

Safety

This GXR trim is equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Toyota Safety Sense, which features a Pre-Collision System and Lane Departure Alert. The Panoramic View Monitor provides a 360-degree bird's-eye view, making it much easier to park this large SUV in tight city spaces. Standard active safety features like Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert provide vital assistance on fast-moving multi-lane highways.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking a low-mileage 300 Series in the best resale color, this GXR offers the ideal mix of modern twin-turbo performance and Toyota's legendary reliability.
