• Selectable Crawl Control and Multi-Terrain Select
• Extensive GCC authorised service network

Summary

This 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser EXR offers a nearly new entry into the legendary 300-series platform, benefiting from the immediate trust of a GCC-spec vehicle. While the twin-turbo models grab headlines, the 4.0L V6 is preferred by many regional owners for its long-term mechanical simplicity and ease of maintenance in remote areas. Its black exterior remains a top-tier choice for resale, commanding a premium in the used market for its professional and imposing aesthetic. Compared to its predecessors, this LC300 provides a far more refined highway experience while retaining the rugged body-on-frame durability that defines the brand in the Middle East. It is the ideal balanced workhorse for a buyer who values legendary reliability over complex forced induction.

This Car vs Other 2025 Land Cruisers

With a Vehicle Age of just 1 year, this Land Cruiser presents a significant advantage over high-mileage examples often found in the GCC market, where annual averages frequently exceed 25,000 km. The black exterior is one of the strongest resale colors in the region, ensuring faster liquidity and higher value retention than more niche shades. Being a GCC-spec model, it is fully optimized for 50-degree summers with reinforced cooling systems that separate it from imported American or European variants.

EXR vs Lower Trims

The EXR serves as the essential gateway to the 300-series luxury experience, providing standard features like a powered driver seat and tri-zone climate control that are often missing on fleet-oriented base models. Unlike the absolute entry-level specs, the EXR includes the 18-inch alloy wheels and a sunroof, which are critical for maintaining the vehicle's premium status in the UAE used market. It balances core capability with modern tech like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without the excessive cost of the GXR's leather upgrades.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Nissan Patrol and Ford Expedition, the Land Cruiser leads with a massive 110-litre fuel capacity (80L main and 30L sub-tank), providing a superior cruising range for long-distance travel between Emirates. Its body-on-frame construction and Toyota's unmatched regional parts availability give it a significant edge in durability over monocoque competitors. The inclusion of hardware-based Crawl Control ensures it remains more capable in soft sand than road-biased luxury SUVs.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 powertrain is known for a stable depreciation rate, typically losing only 8-10% annually in the GCC, which is significantly better than European luxury rivals. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 10.6 L/100km, though this will increase during heavy desert use or in stop-start city traffic in Dubai and Riyadh. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and with the most extensive authorized service network in the Middle East, maintenance is convenient in even the most remote areas.

Performance & Capability

The naturally aspirated 4.0L V6 delivers 271 hp and 385 Nm of torque, focused on linear power delivery and high-temperature reliability rather than raw speed. It features a sophisticated 4WD system with center and rear differential locks, allowing it to navigate extreme terrain that stops most crossovers. The 6-speed automatic transmission is geared for durability, providing smooth highway cruising and the low-end grunt necessary for desert dune bashing or towing up to 2,500 kg.

Comfort & Cabin

The 7-seat cabin is designed for family logistics in the heat, featuring a high-output tri-zone air conditioning system with dedicated rear vents to ensure all passengers stay cool during the peak of summer. Fabric suede seats are a practical choice for the GCC climate, as they stay cooler to the touch than leather after the car has been parked in direct sunlight. Technology is well-integrated with a 9-inch infotainment display, a 7-inch digital driver cluster, and a remote engine starter via the Toyota Connect app to pre-cool the cabin.

Safety

This Land Cruiser comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including dual front and knee airbags, plus stability and traction control systems optimized for both high-speed highways and loose sand surfaces. Standard parking support brakes (PKSB) and front and rear sensors provide confidence in tight urban environments, while the emergency e-call system is a vital safety feature for cross-border travel.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who wants the modern LC300 platform with the bulletproof reliability of a naturally aspirated V6, this low-age EXR in black is the smartest value play in the current market.
