Summary

This 2022 Land Cruiser GR Sport is a prime example of Toyota's flagship off-roader, featuring the highly sought-after white exterior that commands peak resale value in the GCC. With mileage well under the typical annual average for the region, this LC300 offers a fresh ownership experience without the long waitlists for new units. The GR Sport trim is widely considered the ultimate choice for GCC buyers, blending the luxury of the VXR with specialized hardware designed for serious desert exploration. It represents a significant leap forward in technology and performance over the previous generation, making it the benchmark for reliability and prestige on UAE roads.

This Car vs Other 2022 Land Cruisers

With just 59,200 km, this vehicle sits significantly below the 70,000–75,000 km average expected for a 2022 model in the highway-heavy GCC market. The white exterior is the most preferred color for local heat reflection and holds the strongest historical resale performance. Choosing a GCC-spec model ensures full compatibility with regional authorized service centers and maintains a higher market value than imported counterparts.

GR SPORT vs Lower Trims

The GR Sport sits above the GXR and VXR as the most technically advanced trim, adding the revolutionary E-KDSS suspension for superior wheel articulation and a specialized Torsen limited-slip differential. Unlike lower trims, you get unique front and rear locking differentials and a high-clearance bumper design specifically optimized for dune approach angles. Inside, the GR Sport adds a fingerprint-scanner start button and exclusive sport-themed upholstery not found in the standard luxury trims.

Land Cruiser vs Segment Rivals

While the Nissan Patrol remains its primary rival in the GCC, the Land Cruiser leads with its lighter TNGA-F platform and a twin-turbo V6 that delivers more torque at lower RPMs for better desert performance. Compared to luxury rivals like the Land Rover Defender, the Land Cruiser offers a vastly superior authorized service network across every GCC nation. Its 110-liter fuel capacity provides the range security required for long-distance cross-border drives that European competitors often struggle to match.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.5-liter twin-turbo engine is designed to run efficiently on 95-octane fuel, with a real-world combined consumption of approximately 10.8L/100km, a notable improvement over the old V8 models. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, supported by the most extensive parts network in the Middle East. The Land Cruiser LC300 currently retains approximately 75–80% of its value after three years in the UAE, outperforming almost every other SUV in its class for long-term financial stability.

Performance & Capability

Generating 409 hp and 650 Nm of torque, the twin-turbo V6 provides immediate highway overtaking power and effortless climbing in deep sand. The GR Sport features a 235 mm ground clearance and a 32-degree approach angle, paired with the Multi-Terrain Select system that automatically adjusts traction for sand, rock, or mud. Its 3,500 kg braked towing capacity makes it ideal for hauling boats or trailers between Emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The seven-seat cabin is purpose-built for the GCC climate, featuring a high-output tri-zone air conditioning system with dedicated vents for all three rows. Ventilated front seats come standard, providing essential cooling during peak summer months, while the 12.3-inch infotainment display includes integrated navigation. Superior acoustic glass and enhanced insulation ensure a quiet, vibration-free experience even during high-speed highway cruising.

Safety

Equipped with the full Toyota Safety Sense suite, this trim includes Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Trace Assist, which are invaluable for reducing fatigue on long desert highways. The 360-degree camera system provides a bird’s-eye view for tight parking and technical off-roading, while Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert provide essential protection in fast-moving city traffic. Multiple airbags and a high-strength steel frame ensure the highest levels of passenger protection.

The bottom line

This is the ideal opportunity for a buyer seeking the most capable version of the LC300 with low mileage and the best possible resale configuration for the GCC market.
