Summary

This 2023 Ferrari 812 COMPETIZIONE represents the absolute pinnacle of front-engined V12 performance, offering a level of exclusivity that is virtually unmatched in the GCC market. With exceptionally low mileage that places it in a different league compared to typical used examples, this vehicle is essentially a collector-grade asset ready for the road. The black-on-black aesthetic is not only visually striking but serves as a strategic choice for value retention in the region, where timeless specifications are highly coveted. As a limited-production masterpiece, it stands far above the standard Superfast, providing a sharper, more visceral driving experience tailored for the enthusiast. Owning this vehicle in the UAE means possessing one of the final naturally aspirated V12 icons ever produced, ensuring its status as a high-demand item at any future resale. For the serious collector or the driver who demands the most extreme performance available on the road today, this listing offers a rare opportunity to bypass long waiting lists for a car that is already physically present in the region.

This Car vs Other 2023 812s

When comparing this specific 2023 812 COMPETIZIONE to other 812 models currently available in the GCC, the mileage is the primary differentiator. While a typical 2023 sports car in the UAE might see upwards of 5,000 to 7,000 km in its first year, this example has been kept in pristine, showroom-like condition with only 1667 km on the odometer. This ultra-low usage suggests the vehicle has been treated as a primary collection piece rather than a daily driver, which is a significant advantage for long-term mechanical health. The black exterior is a highly liquid color in the local market, ensuring that it remains attractive to the widest possible pool of buyers should you decide to trade up later. Furthermore, being a 2023 model year means it benefits from the very latest production refinements and software calibrations implemented by the factory before the production run concluded. This is not just another 812; it is a late-cycle, low-mileage example of a limited edition that is already becoming increasingly difficult to source in such clean condition.

COMPETIZIONE vs Lower Trims

Choosing the COMPETIZIONE over the standard 812 Superfast is a decision that fundamentally changes the ownership experience from a grand tourer to a track-focused weapon. This trim introduces a significant power bump to 818 hp, achieved through a total redesign of many internal engine components including titanium conrods and a new crankshaft. Beyond the raw power, the COMPETIZIONE features an innovative independent four-wheel steering system that provides agility on tight UAE curves that the standard 812 simply cannot match. The exterior is vastly more aggressive, replacing the glass rear window with a patented aluminum panel with vortex generators to improve downforce—a feature that turns heads at every stop in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Inside, the cabin is stripped of excess weight and replaced with carbon fiber and Alcantara, prioritizing the connection between the driver and the machine. For a GCC buyer, this trim represents the highest possible tier of the 812 family, offering more prestige and a significantly higher ceiling for performance and collectibility.

812 vs Segment Rivals

In the world of front-engined supercars, the Ferrari 812 COMPETIZIONE occupies a space that few others can even enter. It is often cross-shopped with the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ or the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate, but the Ferrari’s naturally aspirated V12 provides a unique high-RPM scream that is synonymous with the brand’s racing heritage. While the Aventador offers a mid-engine layout, the 812 provides a more sophisticated and usable front-mid engine balance that makes it surprisingly capable on long highway stretches between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The Aston Martin focuses more on grand touring comfort, whereas the COMPETIZIONE leads the segment in pure track-ready aerodynamics and engine response. It also benefits from a much more advanced dual-clutch transmission that shifts with a speed and ferocity that rivals find difficult to emulate. For the GCC driver who wants the most prestigious badge with the most hardcore engineering, the 812 is the undisputed leader of this elite group.

Running Costs & Resale

Running a V12 Ferrari in the GCC requires an understanding of the specialized care these hand-built machines demand. Real-world fuel consumption for the 6.5L V12 is substantial, particularly in the stop-and-go traffic of Dubai, though it settles into a more efficient rhythm during high-speed cruising on the E11. Service intervals are strictly mileage or time-based, and fortunately, Ferrari has a robust authorized service network with state-of-the-art facilities in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, ensuring parts and expertise are always within reach. While standard luxury cars see steep depreciation, the COMPETIZIONE is a rare exception; limited-series Ferraris historically hold their value remarkably well and often appreciate as they become 'out of print.' In the GCC market, a well-maintained, low-mileage COMPETIZIONE is viewed as a blue-chip investment. Expect significantly lower annual depreciation compared to a standard 812 Superfast or competing supercars from other brands. The European spec of this vehicle is well-understood by local specialists, and as long as it is serviced at authorized centers, its resale value remains exceptionally strong at the 3-year mark and beyond.

Performance & Capability

The performance of the 812 COMPETIZIONE is headlined by its staggering 818 hp output, which allows it to rocket from 0-100 km/h in just 2.85 seconds. This level of acceleration is breathtaking, especially when experienced on the perfectly paved highways of the UAE. The car is capable of reaching a top speed of over 340 km/h, though its true genius lies in its handling; the lateral dynamics are enhanced by a massive reduction in weight compared to the standard model. The Side Slip Control (SSC) system has been updated to version 7.0, allowing even less-experienced drivers to explore the car's limits safely on track days at the Dubai Autodrome. Despite its track focus, the rear-wheel-drive setup is managed by an incredibly sophisticated electronic differential that provides massive traction even on hot asphalt. The engine revs all the way to a spine-tingling 9,500 rpm, making it one of the highest-revving production engines in the world. It is a car designed to turn every tunnel on Sheikh Zayed Road into a symphony of mechanical perfection.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside the 812 COMPETIZIONE, the focus is entirely on the driver, featuring a cockpit that feels more like a jet fighter than a traditional car. The two-seat layout is characterized by extensive use of carbon fiber and lightweight technical fabrics that manage the heat of the GCC summer better than heavy traditional leathers. While it is a hardcore performance car, the air conditioning system is remarkably powerful, a necessity for the region, ensuring the cabin remains a cool sanctuary even when outside temperatures soar. The seats are highly bolstered to keep you in place during high-G cornering, yet they offer enough support for the drive from Dubai to Fujairah. Noise insulation is tuned to let the V12's melody in while keeping out annoying road drone, creating an immersive but not exhausting environment. Modern infotainment and a high-quality audio system are present, but they clearly play second fiddle to the tactile feel of the carbon fiber shift paddles and the manettino dial on the steering wheel. It is a cabin that celebrates the art of driving while providing just enough luxury to remain a true Ferrari.

Safety

Safety in a car of this caliber is handled by some of the most advanced electronic intervention systems in the automotive world. The COMPETIZIONE comes standard with high-performance carbon-ceramic brakes that provide immense stopping power with virtually zero fade, even under the intense heat of a GCC summer afternoon. The stability and traction control systems are integrated into the car’s central nervous system, adjusting in milliseconds to road conditions to prevent loss of control on sand-dusted surfaces. Blind-spot monitoring is an essential feature for navigating the fast-moving, multi-lane traffic typical of major UAE cities, providing peace of mind during lane changes. Airbags and a reinforced chassis offer passive protection, but the car's primary safety philosophy is to use its incredible agility and braking to avoid incidents entirely. The adaptive lighting system ensures maximum visibility during nighttime drives on unlit desert roads, making this supercar surprisingly safe for such a focused machine.

The bottom line

This Ferrari 812 COMPETIZIONE is a rare find for a GCC collector who wants a nearly-new V12 masterpiece without the wait. Its extremely low mileage and iconic black specification make it one of the most desirable investment-grade supercars currently available in the region.
