Summary

This 2025 BYD Song Pro Comfort offers a contemporary entry point into the popular Chinese SUV segment, combining modern design with a practical 1.5-litre powertrain. As a late-model arrival in the GCC market, its white exterior is a high-demand choice that historically aids resale value across the Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The Song Pro stands out by providing a high level of standard technology, including advanced camera systems, at a competitive price point compared to established Japanese rivals. For a GCC buyer, this model represents a balance of new-car reliability and daily urban efficiency, supported by a rapidly growing regional service infrastructure.

This Car vs Other 2025 Song Pros

As a 2025 model, this vehicle reflects the latest 'Dragon Face' design evolution and benefits from the brand's improved quality standards. Its mileage is essentially delivery-level, providing a significant advantage over typical GCC used stock which often covers 25,000 km in its first year. The white finish is a strategic choice for the region, offering the highest heat reflection and the strongest liquidity in the secondary market.

COMFORT vs Lower Trims

The Comfort trim enhances the ownership experience by adding essential features often omitted in base versions, such as a 360-degree panoramic camera system for easier parking in tight city spaces. It also standardizes cruise control and an upgraded infotainment interface, which are critical for long-distance comfort on major GCC highways. This specific trim strikes the best balance for resale, including the tech buyers expect without the extreme price premium of flagship variants.

Song Pro vs Segment Rivals

The Song Pro competes directly with the MG HS and Haval H6, leading with a user interface that feels more like a modern smartphone than a traditional car. It offers a larger 52-litre fuel tank than several compact rivals, ensuring a longer cruising range between UAE and Saudi borders. While Japanese competitors may have older tech at this price, the BYD provides a more spacious cabin and superior camera resolution standard.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for this 1.5L engine averages approximately 7.2L/100km, performing efficiently in GCC highway traffic. While Chinese brands face higher initial depreciation than Japanese marques, BYD is currently showing the strongest value retention in its class due to the Al-Futtaim partnership in the UAE and extensive expansion in Saudi Arabia. Authorized service centers are now widely available in Riyadh, Dubai, and Jeddah, with service intervals typically every 10,000 km.

Performance & Capability

The 113 hp engine is tuned for smooth urban commuting and stable highway cruising at 120 km/h. With 170 mm of ground clearance, it handles speed bumps and gravel access roads with ease, making it a versatile choice for weekend trips across the Emirates. The automatic transmission is calibrated for efficiency, ensuring a relaxed driving experience during heavy stop-start traffic in Dubai or Riyadh.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed with the GCC climate in mind, featuring a powerful air conditioning system with dedicated rear vents to ensure all passengers stay cool during summer. The 530-litre boot provides ample space for family shopping or weekend luggage, while the digital cockpit offers seamless smartphone integration. Sound insulation has been improved for this model year, resulting in a quieter ride on high-speed motorways.

Safety

This trim includes a comprehensive safety suite with front and side airbags, electronic stability control, and a high-definition 360-degree camera. These systems are particularly valuable for navigating fast-moving multi-lane highways like E11. Standard ISOFIX points and a reinforced unibody chassis provide the peace of mind required for family-oriented buyers in the local market.

The bottom line

Perfect for value-conscious families or professionals seeking a brand-new SUV experience with high-end tech, this Song Pro represents a smart, low-risk entry into the modern Chinese automotive segment.
