Summary

This 2023 Ford Bronco Wildtrak is a standout in the GCC market, offering the high-performance 2.7L V6 engine and the factory-fitted Sasquatch Package for serious off-road capability. The blue exterior is a highly sought-after shade in the UAE, ensuring strong resale interest compared to standard white or silver variants. With average mileage for its age in this region, this SUV has been primarily utilized for the long highway commutes typical of the Emirates, preserving its mechanical integrity. The Wildtrak trim bridges the gap between daily luxury and desert dominance, making it the ideal choice for a buyer who wants a rugged weekend warrior that doesn't compromise on cabin technology. In a market where American-spec imports are common, this GCC-spec example provides essential peace of mind regarding cooling systems and local service compatibility.

This Car vs Other 2023 Broncos

With just over 105,000 km, this Bronco sits within the expected range for a two-year-old vehicle in the GCC, where annual mileage often reaches 50,000 km due to inter-emirate travel. The blue metallic paint is a premium choice that maintains high demand in the secondary market, unlike base colors. Choosing a GCC-spec 2023 model ensures the vehicle was built with high-capacity cooling systems designed specifically for the extreme heat of the Gulf summer.

Wildtrak vs Lower Trims

The Wildtrak comes standard with the Sasquatch Package, adding 35-inch tires and position-sensitive Bilstein dampers that are absent on the Big Bend and Outer Banks trims. It also features the 2.7L EcoBoost V6 as standard, providing significantly more overtaking power for GCC highways than the 2.3L four-cylinder. Additionally, this trim includes the advanced 'Baja' G.O.A.T. mode, specifically tuned for high-speed sand driving.

Bronco vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, the Bronco Wildtrak offers a more refined independent front suspension that provides superior comfort on the E11 and E311 highways. Its 2.7L twin-turbo engine delivers more torque than the naturally aspirated V6 found in the Toyota Land Cruiser 70-series, making it faster in dune climbs. The interior also features a 12-inch touchscreen with wireless integration, which is more advanced than the systems found in many equivalent rugged 4x4s.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.7L V6 in GCC conditions averages around 13.5 L/100km, with highway efficiency improving during long cruises between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Ford’s authorized service network, led by Al Tayer Motors and Premier Motors, is extensive across the UAE, with standard service intervals every 10,000 km. The Bronco has shown exceptional value retention in the Gulf, typically losing only 10-12% in its first two years, outperforming many European luxury SUVs in the same price bracket.

Performance & Capability

The 2.7L twin-turbo V6 enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in approximately 7.1 seconds, a remarkable figure for a vehicle on 35-inch tires. With 292 mm of ground clearance and front and rear electronic locking differentials, it is purpose-built for the soft sands of Liwa and the rocky wadis of Hatta. The 10-speed automatic transmission is optimized for the region, keeping revs low during high-speed highway travel to manage engine temperatures.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the Gulf climate, featuring a high-output air conditioning system and durable marine-grade upholstery that stays cooler than traditional leather in direct sunlight. This specific unit includes the premium 10-speaker B&O sound system and a 12-inch digital cockpit, providing a high-tech environment for long-distance family trips. While the exterior is rugged, the interior is insulated with additional sound-deadening materials to keep highway wind noise to a minimum.

Safety

This Wildtrak is equipped with the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite, featuring Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, which is essential for safe lane changes on busy multi-lane UAE highways. It also includes Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking and a 360-degree camera system that makes parking in tight urban spaces much easier. The Sasquatch-specific suspension and AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control provide extra security during high-speed maneuvers on sand or gravel.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Wildtrak is the perfect balance for the Dubai enthusiast, offering factory-warranty peace of mind and the highest off-road hardware available without the extreme price tag of a Raptor.
