Summary

This 2023 GAC GN6 GE represents a modern, value-driven alternative to traditional MPVs, offering a premium cabin experience that belies its competitive price point. With mileage well under the GCC annual average, this white exterior example remains a highly liquid asset in the UAE used market. The GE trim balances essential family features with a turbocharged powertrain that provides enough punch for highway overtaking while maintaining excellent efficiency. It is an ideal choice for families who prioritize middle-row comfort and cargo flexibility without the bulk of a full-sized van. Backed by the strong Gargash service network, this GCC-spec GN6 offers long-term peace of mind for local owners.

This Car vs Other 2023 GN6s

With 45,169 km on the odometer, this GN6 sits comfortably below the typical 50,000–60,000 km expected for a two-year-old vehicle in the UAE. The Pearl White paint is the most sought-after color in the GCC, ensuring faster resale and better heat reflection during peak summer months. Its GCC-spec status ensures the air conditioning and radiator are specifically tuned for the extreme local climate.

GE vs Lower Trims

The GE trim adds significant daily comfort over the base GB model, most notably upgrading the upholstery to a durable microfiber leather and adding a leather-trimmed steering wheel with integrated controls. Buyers also benefit from a larger 7-inch digital infotainment cluster and keyless entry, features that hold high value in the GCC used market. Additionally, the GE trim includes the crucial rear parking sensors and cruise control for easier long-distance commuting.

GN6 vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Mitsubishi Xpander focus on compact utility, the GN6 offers a wider body and a significantly more refined turbocharged engine, producing 169 hp compared to the naturally aspirated power of Japanese rivals. It stands out in the segment with its unique 1,100-litre cargo capacity when the third row is folded flat, outclassing most entry-level MPVs in outright luggage volume. The inclusion of second-row captain chairs gives it a luxury feel usually reserved for much larger, more expensive vans.

Running Costs & Resale

The 1.5L turbocharged engine is remarkably efficient for a six-seater, returning an official 6.7 L/100km on the combined cycle, making it one of the most cost-effective family haulers for Dubai-to-Abu Dhabi commutes. GAC has a growing presence in the UAE via Gargash Motors, with extensive service centers across the Emirates providing reliable parts availability. While Chinese brands typically depreciate slightly faster than Japanese stalwarts, the GN6 holds its value well among budget-conscious families due to its high feature-to-price ratio.

Performance & Capability

Generating 169 hp and 265 Nm of torque, the GN6 provides smooth power delivery through its automatic transmission, ensuring it doesn't feel sluggish even when fully loaded. The front-wheel-drive layout is optimized for city driving and highway stability, offering a car-like ride quality that is far more comfortable than traditional truck-based MPVs. Its 150 mm ground clearance is perfectly suited for navigating speed bumps and urban infrastructure common across GCC cities.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is defined by its 2-2-2 seating configuration, featuring independent second-row captain chairs that offer superior comfort and an easy walk-through aisle to the third row. The air conditioning system is built for the region, featuring dedicated rear cooling vents to ensure all six passengers remain comfortable during the 45°C summer months. Extensive acoustic insulation helps keep the cabin quiet during high-speed highway cruising between emirates.

Safety

The GN6 GE comes standard with a robust safety suite including Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD). It features front and side airbags to protect passengers, alongside ISOFIX child seat anchors in the second row. For the driver, standard cruise control and rear parking sensors provide added confidence during long highway drives and tight urban parking.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec GN6 GE is the perfect opportunity for a growing family to secure a nearly-new, high-capacity van with low mileage and a premium seating layout for a fraction of the cost of its Japanese rivals.
