Summary

This 2023 Infiniti QX55 LUXE represents a standout opportunity for GCC buyers seeking a premium crossover that balances bold aesthetics with low-mileage reliability. Having covered significantly less distance than the regional average for its age, this vehicle offers a nearly-new mechanical profile perfectly suited for the demanding driving environment of the UAE. The LUXE trim is a high-value choice in the Infiniti lineup, providing a sophisticated interior and advanced technology that rivals often reserve for more expensive packages. Its vibrant exterior is a distinctive alternative to the common grayscale palette found on local roads, yet it retains excellent resale appeal due to its modern coupe-SUV silhouette. For those navigating the fast-paced highways between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the refined powertrain and standard driver assistance systems provide a level of confidence and comfort that is hard to match in this segment. This is a meticulously maintained example of Infiniti’s newest design language, offering a unique blend of Japanese engineering and luxury features tailored for the regional market.

This Car vs Other 2023 QX55s

When compared to other 2023 QX55 units currently available in the GCC used market, this specific vehicle stands out primarily due to its impressively low mileage of 26,728 km. While the average annual mileage for a premium SUV in this region typically ranges between 20,000 and 25,000 km, this car has been driven roughly half that amount per year, suggesting it has spent more time in climate-controlled environments than on the open road. The red exterior finish is a premium paint option that holds its luster well under the intense Gulf sun and provides a sharper contrast with the black trim elements than more common silver or white variants. Being a GCC-spec vehicle, it carries the full assurance of regional compatibility, including the heavy-duty cooling systems required for the summer months and a service history that aligns with local dealership standards. This combination of low usage and regional optimization makes it a top-tier choice for a buyer who wants the benefits of a new car without the initial depreciation hit.

LUXE vs Lower Trims

The LUXE trim serves as a significant upgrade over the entry-level configurations, focusing on the features that matter most to luxury buyers in the Middle East. While lower trims might lack the comprehensive suite of safety tech, the LUXE comes standard with Infiniti’s ProPILOT Assist technology, which is a massive advantage for those who frequently commute on the E11 or other major inter-city highways. Inside, the cabin is elevated by genuine leather appointments and a power-sliding moonroof that creates a more airy, premium atmosphere than the base models. You also benefit from an enhanced audio experience and more sophisticated climate control options that ensure every passenger stays comfortable, regardless of the temperature outside. The addition of standard blind-spot intervention and lane-keeping systems in this trim provides an extra layer of security that is often optional on base models, making the LUXE the 'sweet spot' for value and safety.

QX55 vs Segment Rivals

The Infiniti QX55 competes in the highly contested luxury coupe-SUV segment against rivals like the BMW X4 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. Where the Infiniti takes a decisive lead for the GCC buyer is in its standard feature-to-price ratio; while German competitors often require expensive optional packages for advanced driver aids and premium leather, these are integral to the QX55 LUXE experience. The VC-Turbo engine is a marvel of engineering that offers a more flexible power delivery than the standard four-cylinder engines found in many entry-level European rivals, providing smooth acceleration for overtaking on fast highways. Furthermore, the QX55 offers a more generous cargo area than many of its fastback competitors, making it a more practical choice for weekend trips to the Northern Emirates or Oman. Its unique styling also ensures it stands out in a market saturated with more traditional SUV shapes, offering a sense of exclusivity without sacrificing daily usability.

Running Costs & Resale

Owning a GCC-spec Infiniti QX55 is a financially sound decision in the long term, as the brand benefits from one of the most robust service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.0L VC-Turbo engine is quite efficient for its class, averaging around 8.5 to 9.0 L/100km on the highway, which is excellent for those long cross-country drives. In heavy city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh, the engine’s variable compression technology optimizes for efficiency, helping to keep monthly petrol costs manageable. Maintenance intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and parts availability is excellent through authorized centers like Al Masaood or Arabian Automobiles, ensuring minimal downtime for repairs. Historically, Infiniti models in the GCC retain their value better than many European counterparts, with the QX55 expected to maintain a strong resale price due to its modern design and the continued popularity of the crossover segment in the region.

Performance & Capability

At the heart of the QX55 is the world’s first production variable compression turbo engine, a 2.0L 4-cylinder unit that delivers a seamless blend of power and efficiency. This powertrain is particularly well-suited for the GCC, where the ability to quickly accelerate from 80 to 120 km/h is essential for safe highway merging. The automatic transmission is tuned for smoothness, providing a relaxed driving experience during the daily commute while remaining responsive when you need to navigate through traffic. With a ground clearance that allows for confident movement over speed bumps and uneven urban terrain, it handles the infrastructure of a modern GCC city with ease. Although this is a front-wheel-drive model optimized for road efficiency and fuel economy, its stability control systems are sophisticated enough to handle the occasional sand-blown road or rain-slicked tarmac during the winter months. The 0-100 km/h performance is competitive for the segment, ensuring the car never feels underpowered during spirited drives.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin of the QX55 LUXE is designed as a sanctuary from the intense heat of the Gulf summer, featuring a powerful dual-zone automatic climate control system that reaches the desired temperature rapidly. The four-seat configuration provides an executive feel, with ample shoulder and legroom for all occupants, making it an ideal choice for small families or professionals. High-quality materials are used throughout the interior, with soft-touch surfaces and acoustic glass that significantly reduces road noise during high-speed highway cruising. The dual-screen infotainment system is intuitive and keeps navigation and media controls separate for ease of use while driving. For the driver, the ergonomically designed seats provide excellent support for long-distance trips between emirates, ensuring you arrive at your destination refreshed. The boot space is surprisingly deep for a coupe-style SUV, easily accommodating luggage for a family weekend getaway or a large grocery run.

Safety

Safety is a hallmark of the 2023 QX55 LUXE, which comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of active safety technologies designed for the unique challenges of GCC roads. The ProPILOT Assist system is particularly effective on the long, straight highways of the region, helping to manage steering, braking, and acceleration in single-lane traffic. Standard features like Forward Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection and Predictive Forward Collision Warning—which can see two cars ahead—are vital in the stop-and-go traffic of major metropolitan areas. Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert provide essential assistance when navigating multi-lane highways where visibility can be a challenge. These systems, combined with a 5-star safety rating and a robust airbag system, ensure that the QX55 offers maximum protection for all passengers. Unlike many competitors that charge extra for these features, Infiniti includes them as standard on the LUXE trim, providing peace of mind from day one.

The bottom line

This low-mileage, GCC-spec Infiniti QX55 LUXE is the perfect choice for a buyer who wants a stylish, modern crossover with the reliability and tech-forward features necessary for life in the UAE. It offers a premium experience and exceptional safety standards at a much more accessible price point than its European rivals, making it one of the smartest buys in the current used market.
