Summary

This 2023 Grand Cherokee in the Limited trim offers a sophisticated balance of American luxury and the legendary capability Jeep is known for in the GCC. With just over 70,000 km, it has been driven at a typical regional pace for its age, making it a reliable choice for families who alternate between Dubai’s highways and weekend getaways. The black exterior is a high-demand choice in the UAE, ensuring strong resale value and a professional road presence. As a monocoque SUV with refined on-road manners, it stands out for its interior tech and cabin quietness compared to more agricultural rivals. For a buyer looking for a modern, tech-rich daily driver that won't shy away from a gravel track or a desert dunes road trip, this is an excellent opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2023 Grand Cherokees

At 70,149 km, this vehicle reflects average annual mileage for a GCC-based SUV, where long-distance commutes between Emirates are standard. Its black exterior is one of the top three resale colors in the UAE and Saudi markets, offering a significant advantage over less conventional shades. Unlike many regional units that may have higher wear from desert use, this example retains the crisp interior finishes expected of the premium Limited trim.

LIMITED vs Lower Trims

The Limited trim is the sweet spot for GCC buyers, adding essential luxury over the base Laredo such as Capri leatherette upholstery and a 360° surround-view camera. You also benefit from a power liftgate with adjustable height and a premium six-speaker audio system with active noise cancellation, which makes a noticeable difference on long desert highway stretches. Most importantly for our climate, it includes remote vehicle start, allowing you to pre-cool the cabin before entering.

Grand Cherokee vs Segment Rivals

The Grand Cherokee leads rivals like the Ford Explorer and Toyota Prado in terms of cabin tech, offering a more premium digital experience and superior NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) levels. While the Prado offers body-on-frame durability, the Jeep provides a more sophisticated monocoque ride that is better suited for city traffic and high-speed highway stability. Its Selec-Terrain system is also more intuitive for casual weekend off-roaders compared to the manual configurations of some competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

The 3.6L Pentastar V6 is one of the most widely serviced engines in the region, with an extensive authorized service network across the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. Expect real-world fuel consumption of approximately 10.4L/100km on combined cycles, though city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh may increase this slightly. The Grand Cherokee holds its value well in the GCC market, typically depreciating around 12–15% annually, which is competitive for a premium American SUV.

Performance & Capability

Generating 293 hp and 350 Nm of torque, the 3.6L V6 provides smooth acceleration and reliable overtaking power on fast-moving highways like the E11. It features a 213 mm ground clearance and the Quadra-Trac I 4WD system, making it more than capable of handling sandy tracks and gravel paths for weekend camping. The eight-speed automatic transmission is specifically tuned to manage gear shifts efficiently even during the high heat of a GCC summer.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, the five-seat layout offers generous legroom and a massive 1,067-litre boot space, ideal for family road trips across borders. The climate control system is robust, featuring rear vents to ensure all passengers remain cool during 45°C+ summer peaks. Acoustic glass and active noise cancellation create a sanctuary-like environment, insulating the cabin from both wind noise and the external heat.

Safety

This Limited trim is equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite including Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking and Lane Management. For heavy GCC traffic, the Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection systems provide essential layers of safety. It also features eight airbags and a 360° camera system, which makes navigating tight parking spots in busy malls significantly easier.

The bottom line

This 2023 Limited is perfect for the professional family man or woman who needs a prestigious, tech-heavy SUV that can handle both the school run and the occasional desert trail with ease.
