Summary

This 2023 Jetour X70 LUX represents a sharp opportunity for families seeking a modern seven-seat SUV that has already cleared its steepest depreciation curve. With the Vehicle Age at 3 years and 70,000 km, the mileage is perfectly average for the GCC, where 20,000–25,000 km per year is the standard for highway-heavy commuting. The Blue exterior provides a refreshed alternative to the usual monochromatic market, while the LUX trim ensures you aren't sacrificing the premium tech local buyers prioritize. This model stands out by offering the tech and cabin volume of a luxury crossover at a fraction of the price of Japanese rivals. For a GCC owner, this is a turn-key family hauler that balances low running costs with a highly digital interior experience.

This Car vs Other 2023 X70s

At 70,000 km, this car is exactly where a three-year-old vehicle in the UAE or Saudi Arabia should be, reflecting typical school runs and inter-city commutes. Unlike entry-level units, this LUX trim was specified with the larger 20-inch wheels and higher-grade cabin materials that hold up better against the local climate. The Blue paint is a standout choice in a sea of white SUVs, maintaining good visual appeal for future resale.

LUX vs Lower Trims

Stepping up to the LUX trim from the Comfort model adds features that are essential for the GCC lifestyle, most notably the ultra-wide panoramic sunroof and the 360-degree camera system for easier parking in tight mall spaces. It also upgrades the interior with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and ambient lighting, creating a much more premium atmosphere during evening drives. This trim also includes the power tailgate, which is a major convenience during grocery runs in the summer heat.

X70 vs Segment Rivals

The X70 leads its immediate rivals, like the Haval H6 and Toyota Rush, by offering a genuine mid-size SUV footprint and seven-seat flexibility as standard. While the Rush is a more traditional compact choice, the Jetour offers significantly more shoulder room and a more sophisticated multi-link rear suspension for highway stability. Its 1.5L turbo engine is tuned for efficiency, providing a quieter cruising experience on long desert roads compared to naturally aspirated competitors.

Running Costs & Resale

With an official fuel economy of approximately 7.6L/100km, the X70 is one of the most efficient seven-seaters for city-to-city commutes. Service intervals are typically every 10,000 km, and Jetour has rapidly expanded its footprint with a massive flagship service center in Dubai and authorized partners like Fix Auto in Saudi Arabia. As a newer brand in the GCC, it sees a depreciation rate of roughly 12–15% annually at this age, making it an excellent value-buy for the second owner.

Performance & Capability

The 1.5-litre turbocharged engine produces 154 hp and 230 Nm of torque, which is delivered smoothly via the automatic transmission for effortless highway overtaking. It maintains a stable top speed of 180 km/h, and its 200 mm ground clearance is more than enough for gravel roads or weekend trips to the farm. The multi-link independent suspension is a key advantage, absorbing road imperfections and providing a car-like ride on long drives between the Emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the high-temperature GCC environment, featuring a powerful multi-zone automatic A/C system with dedicated rear vents to keep all seven passengers cool. The 10.1-inch infotainment screen and 12.3-inch digital cockpit provide a modern, tech-forward feel that rivals premium brands. With the third row folded, you get a massive cargo area, while the high-quality leatherette seats are durable and easy to maintain even with frequent family use.

Safety

Safety is comprehensive for the LUX trim, featuring Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Monitoring which are vital for navigating fast-moving GCC highway traffic. The vehicle is equipped with a full suite of stability and traction control systems to handle varying road surfaces, alongside ISOFIX points for child seats and multiple airbags. The 360-degree camera provides a bird's-eye view, significantly reducing the risk of minor collisions in crowded urban environments.

The bottom line

Perfect for the value-conscious family in the UAE or KSA, this X70 LUX offers a premium, tech-heavy seven-seat experience with a verified GCC service history and average mileage.
