Summary

This 2023 Lamborghini Urus S represents the refined evolution of the world's most successful super-SUV, balancing extreme performance with daily luxury. As a 3-year-old vehicle with average mileage for the GCC market, it offers a more accessible entry point into the Urus lineage without the uncompromising stiffness of the track-focused Performante. The grey exterior is a highly desirable resale choice in the region, offering a sophisticated look that holds value better than more eccentric palettes. For the GCC buyer, the standard adaptive air suspension is the single most important feature, ensuring smooth commutes on high-speed highways like the E11 while maintaining the ability to clear speed humps and variable terrain with ease. This specific S trim is a strategic buy for those who want the updated 657 hp engine in a more comfortable, versatile package.

This Car vs Other 2023 Uruss

With 37,989 km on the odometer, this Urus S has been driven approximately 12,600 km per year, which is significantly lower than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average seen for luxury SUVs in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. This lower-than-average mileage for the region suggests the mechanical components have experienced less thermal stress from long-range desert highway drives. The grey finish is one of the strongest resale colors in the local used market, ensuring faster liquidity compared to louder colors when it comes time to trade up.

S vs Lower Trims

The S trim serves as the mid-life evolution of the original Urus, matching the 657 hp output of the hardcore Performante while retaining a more luxurious cabin. Key advantages over the base model include a retuned exhaust system for a more distinct startup note and an updated front bumper design with a matte black stainless steel skidplate as standard. Inside, the S often features more sophisticated leather configurations and enhanced acoustic insulation, making it the preferred choice for family-oriented high-speed travel across the Emirates.

Urus vs Segment Rivals

While rivals like the Aston Martin DBX707 or Ferrari Purosangue offer similar power, the Urus S leads in sheer daily versatility and the breadth of its authorized service network across the GCC. Its 85-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for the long Riyadh-to-Jeddah or Dubai-to-Muscat routes, often outlasting competitors in real-world highway stints. Furthermore, the Lamborghini Infotainment System III is widely regarded as one of the most intuitive interfaces in the exotic segment, featuring dedicated haptic feedback that is easier to use during spirited driving.

Running Costs & Resale

The Urus S typically sees a depreciation rate of approximately 12–15% annually in the GCC, performing better than many of its European luxury peers due to sustained local demand. Real-world fuel consumption averages around 14.8 L/100km combined, though highway cruising at steady speeds can see this drop significantly. Authorized service centers are widely available in major GCC cities, with standard service intervals every 15,000 km or 12 months. This GCC-spec vehicle retains its value better than international imports because it is factory-optimized for localized high-ambient temperatures and is fully eligible for regional service contracts.

Performance & Capability

Powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 657 hp, the Urus S launches to 100 km/h in a staggering 3.5 seconds, providing effortless overtaking power on the fastest multi-lane highways. Unlike the steel-sprung Performante, the S uses adaptive air suspension that can adjust ground clearance from 158 mm to 248 mm, allowing for genuine off-road capability in Sabia (sand) and Terra (gravel) modes. This versatility is ideal for GCC owners who may occasionally take the scenic route or find themselves on unpaved terrain during weekend desert excursions.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed for long-distance comfort, featuring 12-way power-adjustable front seats that are highly effective at providing support during high-G cornering. High-performance air conditioning is a hallmark of the GCC-ready Urus, with multi-zone climate control and dedicated rear vents to combat extreme summer heat effectively. Cabin insulation is excellent, keeping the interior serene even at triple-digit highway speeds, while the trunk provides a generous 616 litres of space for family road trips.

Safety

Every Urus S comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including carbon-ceramic brakes as standard—the largest in its class—providing immense stopping power for fast-moving traffic. The ADAS suite includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring, which are essential for navigating the complex, multi-lane highway systems found in Dubai and Riyadh. Stability control and the advanced all-wheel-drive system work in tandem to ensure maximum traction on both sun-slicked tarmac and loose desert sand.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Urus S is the perfect choice for the executive or family buyer who demands supercar performance but refuses to sacrifice the comfort of air suspension and high-end cabin refinements. With mileage that is well below the regional average for its age, it represents a stable and highly prestigious investment in the local market.
