Summary

This 2023 Mercedes-AMG G63 is a standout performance SUV, finished in a high-impact Orange that commands significant attention and holds strong appeal for enthusiasts in the GCC market. With just over 11,500 km, this Japanese-spec example offers a near-new ownership experience compared to the higher-mileage GCC-spec vehicles typically found locally. The G63 remains the definitive choice for those seeking supercar-level acceleration paired with legendary off-road hardware like triple locking differentials. For a UAE buyer, this specific listing represents a chance to own a low-mileage, visually striking G-Class that avoids the typical wear of daily Gulf highway commuting.

This Car vs Other 2023 G63 AMGs

At 11,517 km, this G63 sits well below the average 20,000–25,000 km typically covered annually by G-Class owners in the UAE. The bold Orange exterior is a high-visibility choice that strengthens its presence in a market often dominated by monochrome colors, making it a potentially faster-selling asset among enthusiast buyers. As a Japanese import, it provides a significantly fresher mechanical condition than many local counterparts of the same age.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

While the G63 is the range-topping performance model, it adds the hand-built V8 biturbo engine and AMG Ride Control suspension over the standard G500. This trim includes the essential 360° camera system and ventilated Nappa leather seating, features that are vital for navigating narrow city streets and ensuring comfort during the intense UAE summer. The high-performance AMG braking system and side-exit exhaust pipes are exclusive G63 markers that drive its superior resale value.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The G63 stands alone against rivals like the Range Rover SVR and Lamborghini Urus by retaining a rugged body-on-frame construction and three mechanical locking differentials for genuine desert capability. Its 100-litre fuel tank provides a longer touring range for cross-country drives across the Emirates compared to the smaller tanks found in some performance-oriented competitors. The iconic upright driving position and boxy silhouette offer visibility and presence that road-biased luxury SUVs cannot replicate.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the G63 typically ranges between 13.2 and 15.5 L/100km, influenced by the heavy stop-start traffic of Dubai and Riyadh. As a Japanese-spec vehicle, it retains excellent value in the UAE, though buyers should note that authorized dealer service plans may differ from GCC-spec cars; however, specialized service centers for Mercedes-AMG are abundant across the region. The G-Class historically enjoys some of the best value retention in the GCC luxury segment, with well-maintained examples often holding over 70% of their value after three years.

Performance & Capability

The 585 hp V8 biturbo engine delivers a verified 0–100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds, ensuring effortless overtaking on fast-moving UAE highways. With three 100% locking differentials and a low-range transfer case, it is one of the few luxury vehicles truly capable of transitioning from city boulevards to soft-sand desert dunes. The AMG Speedshift 9-speed transmission is specifically tuned to handle the massive 850 Nm of torque, providing rapid responses in both urban and off-road environments.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat interior features a widescreen digital cockpit and multi-zone climate control designed to maintain a cool cabin even when external temperatures exceed 45°C. Ventilated front seats and high-grade insulation provide a refined environment, shielding passengers from both desert heat and wind noise during long-distance travel. The upright cabin architecture provides generous headroom for all five occupants, while the Burmester surround sound system ensures a premium acoustic experience.

Safety

Standard safety features include a comprehensive ADAS suite with Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and Lane Keeping Assist, which are essential for the high-speed, multi-lane highways of the GCC. The 360° camera and Parktronic sensors simplify parking this large SUV in tight urban spaces. Three locking differentials also act as a stability aid in challenging terrain, providing maximum traction on loose sand or gravel surfaces.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants the prestige and performance of a G63 in a standout color, this low-mileage Japanese-spec model offers exceptional value and mechanical freshness in the current UAE market.
