Summary

This 2023 G63 AMG represents a standout opportunity in the GCC market, combining very low mileage for its three years with the region's most coveted exterior color. While Japanese regional specs often require minor infotainment adjustments, they are highly regarded locally for their exceptional maintenance standards and lower-than-average wear compared to hard-driven GCC units. The G-Class remains a peerless icon that bridges the gap between high-fashion luxury and genuine military-grade capability. Its black-on-black aesthetic ensures maximum resale appeal across the Emirates and Saudi Arabia. For a buyer seeking the ultimate status symbol that is equally at home in city traffic or long desert highway stretches, this low-distance example is a strategic choice.

This Car vs Other 2023 G63 AMGs

With just 24,901 km on the odometer, this vehicle has covered significantly less ground than the 60,000 to 75,000 km typically expected for a three-year-old SUV in the GCC. The black exterior is the primary driver of value retention in the local market, making it far easier to trade or sell later. While GCC-native cars are common, Japanese imports like this one are sought after by enthusiasts for their meticulous interior preservation and strictly documented history.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

The AMG G63 sits at the top of the G-Class hierarchy, providing a massive 169 hp leap over the G500 and replacing the standard suspension with AMG Ride Control adaptive damping. This trim includes the essential 360-degree surround-view camera for maneuvering its boxy frame, a 15-speaker Burmester surround sound system, and the iconic side-exit performance exhaust. You also receive upgraded Nappa leather and the IWC-design analog clock, features that define the luxury experience GCC buyers expect.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

The G63 leads rivals like the Range Rover SVR and Lamborghini Urus by offering a authentic body-on-frame construction and three independent locking differentials, providing superior durability for those who venture off-road. Its 100-litre fuel tank is specifically beneficial for long-distance cruising between cities like Dubai and Riyadh, offering better range than many performance-tuned competitors. The upright driving position provides a command of the road that monocoque SUVs cannot replicate.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages roughly 13.2 L/100km combined, though GCC stop-start traffic will see higher figures while long highway cruises take advantage of cylinder deactivation. Mercedes-Benz maintains one of the most robust authorized service networks in the UAE and wider Gulf, ensuring parts availability is never an issue for Japanese or GCC spec models. Historically, the G63 holds roughly 72% of its value at the three-year mark in this region, significantly outperforming the luxury SUV segment average.

Performance & Capability

The 585 hp hand-built V8 biturbo engine enables a 0-100 km/h sprint of just 4.5 seconds, delivering immediate overtaking power on fast-moving UAE highways. Beyond pure speed, it features a 241 mm ground clearance and a 700 mm wading depth, making it one of the few luxury vehicles truly capable of navigating soft sand or seasonal wadi crossings. The 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system is rear-biased at a 40:60 ratio, ensuring the agility required for city driving while maintaining stability at its 220 km/h top speed.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary from the intense GCC summer, featuring three-zone climate control with powerful cooling and standard Nappa leather seating. While it retains its rugged military silhouette, the interior is dominated by a 12.3-inch widescreen cockpit and customizable 64-color ambient lighting to suit any evening drive. Acoustic glass helps isolate the cabin from wind noise during high-speed highway travel, ensuring the Burmester audio remains crisp.

Safety

Safety is managed by a comprehensive ADAS suite including Active Brake Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and Active Lane Keeping Assist, which are vital for the fast-paced multi-lane traffic found on the E11. The G63 also features adaptive cruise control (Distronic) to reduce fatigue during long desert commutes and Pre-Safe systems that prepare the cabin for a collision. Its heavy-duty construction and multiple airbag systems provide a level of passive safety that few vehicles in its class can match.

The bottom line

For the buyer who wants an iconic powerhouse with exceptionally low mileage and the best possible resale color, this 2023 G63 is a premier choice that balances performance with long-term value.
