Summary

This three-year-old G63 AMG represents a sophisticated entry into the flagship performance SUV market, featuring a hand-built V8 that delivers relentless power across any terrain. With approximately 20,471 km on the odometer, its mileage sits well below the typical GCC annual average, suggesting a vehicle used primarily for city commuting rather than cross-border tours. The white exterior remains the gold standard for resale strength in the region, offering maximum heat reflection and enduring market appeal. This Japanese-spec example provides an excellent balance of high-tier features and value for a buyer who prioritizes mechanical excellence. For those moving between the city and the weekend desert escape, the G63 remains the unchallenged icon of presence and capability.

This Car vs Other 2023 G63 AMGs

With just over 20,000 km, this vehicle has covered significantly less distance than the 60,000 to 75,000 km typically expected for a car of this age in the GCC. While many G63s in the UAE are driven heavily between emirates, this example has been preserved as a low-use alternative. The white paintwork is the most liquid asset in the regional used market, ensuring faster resale and better value retention than more niche colors.

STANDARD vs Lower Trims

As the AMG-tuned flagship, this trim introduces the hand-assembled biturbo V8 and the specialized AMG Ride Control suspension, which are unavailable on the G500. This specific model features the dual widescreen digital cockpit and the 360-degree surround camera system that GCC buyers consider essential for navigating tight urban spaces. It also includes the signature side-exit exhaust system and flared arches that define the AMG's commanding road presence.

G63 AMG vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Land Rover Defender 130 or the Lamborghini Urus, the G63 offers a unique body-on-frame durability that thrives in the soft sands of the Liwa desert. Its 100-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for long drives from Dubai to Muscat compared to more road-biased performance SUVs. Furthermore, the G63 leads in iconic status, maintaining a silhouette that has remained desirable in the Gulf for decades.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically averages around 13.8 L/100km, though GCC city traffic can see this rise to 17.2 L/100km. Service intervals are recommended every 10,000 km or 12 months, with an extensive network of specialist workshops across the UAE and KSA capable of maintaining Japanese-spec Mercedes vehicles. While Japanese imports typically sit at a different price point than GCC-spec cars, the G63's legendary demand ensures it remains one of the slowest-depreciating luxury vehicles in the region.

Performance & Capability

The 585 hp output allows this SUV to reach a top speed of 240 km/h, ensuring effortless overtaking on the E11 highway. Its off-road hardware is professional-grade, featuring three independent locking differentials that allow the vehicle to crawl through terrain that would stop most luxury crossovers. Whether navigating deep sand or climbing steep mountain passes in Ras Al Khaimah, the nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive provide constant, manageable traction.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is a sanctuary of premium materials, featuring high-end leather and the immersive Burmester surround sound system. The air conditioning system is built to handle high-temperature environments, quickly cooling the five-seat interior even during the peak of the Gulf summer. The elevated seating position provides a panoramic view of the road, while acoustic glass helps insulate the cabin from wind noise during high-speed highway cruising.

Safety

This G63 comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite including Adaptive Cruise Control, which is ideal for long desert highway stretches, and Blind Spot Monitoring for multi-lane city traffic. Active Lane Keeping Assist and Attention Assist provide extra security during evening drives, while the 360-degree camera system makes parking this large SUV in urban areas simple. The robust body-on-frame construction adds an inherent layer of physical safety for all five occupants.

The bottom line

Perfect for the executive who demands an icon that performs as well in the desert as it does at the valet stand, this low-mileage G63 offers a significant opportunity to own a modern legend.
