Summary

This 2023 Nissan Kicks in the top-tier SL+ NIM trim offers an exceptional balance of modern technology and urban efficiency for the GCC market. With mileage that reflects typical highway-focused use in the UAE, it remains a highly relevant choice compared to aging competitors. The white exterior is the most practical choice for our climate, significantly aiding heat reflection and holding the strongest resale value in the local used market. As a compact crossover, it excels in stop-start city traffic while providing the elevated visibility drivers prefer on multi-lane highways. For any buyer across the Emirates or wider GCC, the widespread availability of Nissan's service network ensures long-term peace of mind.

This Car vs Other 2023 Kicks

With 76,000 km, this vehicle has been utilized primarily for the long-distance highway commutes common in the GCC, which is often preferable to the wear of heavy city idling. The white paint is the top-performing color for regional resale, ensuring you retain the maximum possible value. This specific SL+ NIM trim is the most technologically advanced version available for this model year.

SL+ NIM vs Lower Trims

The SL+ NIM (Nissan Intelligent Mobility) trim adds critical features that GCC buyers value, most notably the 360-degree Around View Monitor which makes parking in tight urban spaces effortless. Unlike the base S or mid-tier SV trims, this version includes Intelligent Cruise Control and a more premium interior finish. It also features upgraded safety tech like Moving Object Detection, providing a much higher level of driver confidence.

Kicks vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Chevrolet Groove or Hyundai Kona, the Kicks leads with a more generous 432-litre boot capacity, making it better suited for weekend trips or family grocery runs. Its 1.6L engine is tuned for efficiency, offering a smoother CVT experience that outclasses many rivals in stop-start traffic. The cabin ergonomics, specifically the Zero Gravity seats, offer superior comfort during long drives between cities.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption averages around 6.5 L/100km, making this one of the most economical petrol crossovers in the region. Nissan maintains one of the most extensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, keeping maintenance costs predictable. The Kicks typically follows an 8-10% annual depreciation curve, which is stronger than its American or European segment rivals.

Performance & Capability

The 1.6L 4-cylinder engine produces a reliable 118 hp, delivered through a smooth Xtronic CVT designed for effortless highway overtaking and fuel efficiency. While optimized for paved roads, its 180 mm ground clearance allows it to handle gravel paths and speed bumps with ease. The Front Wheel Drive setup ensures the car remains lightweight and agile, perfect for navigating the fast-paced flow of GCC traffic.

Comfort & Cabin

Inside, you'll find a tech-focused cabin featuring an 8-inch touchscreen with full smartphone integration. The air conditioning system is engineered for extreme heat, with powerful airflow that quickly cools the cabin even during peak summer months. The SL+ NIM trim specifically benefits from improved acoustic insulation, keeping the interior quiet during high-speed desert highway cruising.

Safety

This trim is equipped with the full Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite, including Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are essential for multi-lane highway safety in the UAE. It also features Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection and Lane Departure Warning. The inclusion of front and rear sensors paired with the 360-degree camera provides comprehensive protection in every driving scenario.

The bottom line

This high-spec Kicks is the ideal opportunity for a professional or small family seeking a tech-rich, fuel-efficient daily driver that is ready for the unique demands of GCC roads.
