Summary

This 2023 Nissan Patrol SE Titanium offers a compelling mix of modern tech and legendary durability, standing as a top choice in the GCC for both daily urban use and weekend adventures. While its mileage reflects the typical high-usage patterns of the region, the grey exterior is a highly sought-after, heat-resistant color that significantly bolsters resale value in local markets. Known for its imposing presence and cavernous interior, the Patrol remains the benchmark for family SUVs in the Gulf, providing a level of road respect few rivals can match. For any buyer in the UAE or KSA, this trim represents the sweet spot of luxury features without the higher running costs of the V8 variants.

This Car vs Other 2023 Patrols

With 112,000 km, this vehicle has been driven more than the global average but aligns with the higher mileage expectations for GCC highway commuters. The grey exterior is a strategic choice for the region, offering better heat management and stronger resale potential than unconventional colors. This specific unit benefits from being a GCC-spec model, ensuring it was built to handle the extreme thermal demands and sand-heavy environments of the Middle East.

SE TITANIUM vs Lower Trims

The SE Titanium trim is a significant upgrade over the XE and SE T2, introducing premium features that GCC buyers value most. It adds a 13-speaker Bose premium audio system, a power sunroof, and larger 20-inch machine-cut alloy wheels. Additionally, it provides a much more advanced safety suite, including blind-spot monitoring and a power liftgate, which are absent on the entry-level V6 models.

Patrol vs Segment Rivals

When compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 or the Ford Expedition, the Patrol leads with its massive 140-litre fuel tank, providing superior range for long-distance desert crossings and cross-border drives. Its body-on-frame construction offers a ruggedness that monocoque rivals can't match, while its cabin cooling capacity is widely regarded as one of the best in the industry for the 50°C summer heat.

Running Costs & Resale

The 4.0L V6 engine delivers a combined fuel consumption of approximately 11.8 L/100km, making it a more efficient daily driver for city traffic than the V8 alternatives. Nissan enjoys one of the most extensive authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, ensuring parts are always available and affordable. Historically, the Patrol retains roughly 70-80% of its value after three years in the GCC, outperforming almost every other SUV in its class.

Performance & Capability

The naturally aspirated 4.0L V6 produces 275 hp and 394 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth 7-speed automatic transmission that is tuned for highway cruising and light desert dunes. It features a selectable 4WD system with dedicated modes for Sand, On-Road, Rock, and Snow, supported by a locking rear differential. With a 700mm wading depth and 273mm of ground clearance, it is purpose-built for the varied terrain of the Arabian Peninsula.

Comfort & Cabin

This eight-seater SUV is designed for large families, offering a spacious third row that is genuinely usable for adults. The SE Titanium trim includes leatherette upholstery, a cooled center console box for beverages, and a multi-zone climate control system with dedicated rear vents to ensure all passengers stay cool during the summer. The cabin is further enhanced by a 12.3-inch infotainment display and a rear-seat entertainment system to keep younger passengers occupied on long trips.

Safety

Standard safety tech on this trim includes six airbags and a comprehensive suite of Nissan Intelligent Mobility features. It is equipped with Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are essential for navigating the fast-paced, multi-lane highways of Dubai and Riyadh. The inclusion of front and rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera system makes maneuvering this large SUV significantly safer in tight urban environments.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer seeking a late-model, high-spec family workhorse with a proven service history and strong resale pedigree, this Patrol SE Titanium is an exceptionally practical and prestigious choice.
