Summary

This 2023 Nissan X-Terra Platinum is a compelling choice for families seeking a modern, high-spec SUV that remains significantly younger than the typical pre-owned inventory. With under 39,000 km, its mileage is noticeably lower than the GCC annual average for this segment, ensuring the interior and mechanicals remain in excellent condition. As the top-tier Platinum trim, it features the full suite of Nissan Intelligent Mobility tech and leather upholstery that lower trims lack. The Pearl White exterior is the most sought-after color for resale in the region, helping it retain value better than darker alternatives. This is a versatile workhorse that balances daily Dubai commutes with the off-road hardware needed for weekend escapes.

This Car vs Other 2023 X-Terras

At 38,604 km, this X-Terra sits well below the typical 50,000 km mark expected for a two-year-old SUV in the GCC highway-heavy market. While many listings in the market are mid-spec Titanium units, this Platinum example provides the full luxury and safety kit that serious buyers prioritize. The white finish is a strategic advantage here, as it offers the highest heat reflection for our climate and the strongest demand at resale.

PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The Platinum trim elevates the X-Terra experience with premium 18-inch machine-cut alloy wheels and a superior 8-speaker Bose audio system. Inside, it swaps fabric for quilted leather upholstery and adds power-adjustable seating, which is a major comfort upgrade for long drives between Emirates. Most importantly, it introduces the full Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite, including a 360-degree camera system and Lane Departure Warning not found on the SE or basic Titanium models.

X-Terra vs Segment Rivals

The X-Terra stands out against the Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Montero Sport by offering a more refined, tech-forward cabin and a 7-speed automatic that feels smoother on the highway. Its 80-litre fuel tank provides a superior cruising range for long desert stretches compared to many compact crossovers. While rivals often lean towards a purely utilitarian feel, the X-Terra Platinum bridges the gap with genuine luxury features like wireless charging and a dedicated rear entertainment screen.

Running Costs & Resale

Equipped with the reliable 2.5L QR25DE engine, you can expect real-world fuel consumption of approximately 11.4 km/L, making it one of the more efficient 7-seaters in the region. Nissan’s massive service footprint across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman ensures that parts are affordable and maintenance is convenient. As a GCC-spec Japanese SUV, it follows a slow 8–10% annual depreciation curve, outperforming American-spec imports in both value retention and warranty support.

Performance & Capability

The 2.5L engine delivers a balanced 165 HP, optimized for fuel efficiency while providing enough torque for light-to-mid desert trails. The 4WD system includes a dedicated low-range transfer case and an electronic locking rear differential, making it a true body-on-frame off-roader. With 243mm of ground clearance, it easily clears the dunes and rocky wadis that would stop a standard crossover.

Comfort & Cabin

This is a genuine 7-seater designed for the heat, featuring a high-output dual-zone climate control system with dedicated vents for all three rows. The Platinum cabin is insulated with acoustic glass, significantly reducing road noise during high-speed highway cruising. The second-row tumble seats are power-operated from the driver’s seat, allowing for effortless passenger loading during school runs or family trips.

Safety

Safety is a primary focus for the Platinum trim, which comes standard with six airbags and Nissan’s comprehensive Active Driver Assist suite. Key features for GCC highways include Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are essential for navigating multi-lane traffic. It also features Intelligent Emergency Braking and a 360° camera with Moving Object Detection to simplify parking in tight urban spaces.

The bottom line

For the GCC buyer who needs one vehicle to handle the daily school run, long-distance highway cruises, and weekend desert adventures, this low-mileage Platinum X-Terra is the smartest value play in the current market.
