Summary

This 2024 Nissan X-Terra Platinum offers an ideal balance of modern technology and rugged family utility, standing out with its top-tier trim features. With mileage well below the GCC annual average, it represents a nearly new opportunity for buyers seeking long-term reliability without the initial depreciation hit. The Platinum trim distinguishes itself in the local market with its premium cabin finishes and advanced safety systems, making it a highly desirable choice for school runs and weekend adventures alike. Nissan's robust engineering ensures it handles the intense summer heat and long highway stretches between emirates with ease. For a buyer looking for a contemporary seven-seater that retains value exceptionally well in the region, this listing is a standout option.

This Car vs Other 2024 X Terras

At just over 29,000 km, this X-Terra has been driven significantly less than the typical 25,000 km annual average for SUVs in the GCC. While many examples on the market serve as high-mileage fleet or rental vehicles, this unit’s low usage suggests a well-preserved mechanical life. The Platinum trim is the most sought-after configuration in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, offering a distinct advantage at resale compared to the base SE or mid-range Titanium models.

PLATINUM vs Lower Trims

The Platinum trim elevates the X-Terra experience with features crucial for GCC comfort, including a 360° Intelligent Around View Monitor and leather-appointed seating that replaces the fabric found in lower trims. It also adds an 8-speaker Bose premium audio system and a larger 9-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay. Crucially for family safety on fast highways, this trim includes the full Intelligent Mobility suite, featuring Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, which are absent on the SE.

X Terra vs Segment Rivals

Compared to the Toyota Fortuner, the X-Terra offers a more refined multi-link rear suspension that provides superior ride comfort on paved roads and city highways. While the Mitsubishi Montero Sport leads in gear count, the Nissan's 78-litre fuel tank provides a greater range for long-distance desert trips or cross-border drives. Its interior packaging feels more modern than many ladder-frame competitors, providing better second-row legroom for growing families.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption for the 2.5L engine averages approximately 11.4 km/L, offering a more economical daily commute compared to V6-powered rivals. Nissan's authorised service footprint is one of the strongest in the GCC, with major centers in every emirate and across Saudi Arabia, ensuring parts are always readily available. Historically, the X-Terra retains roughly 73% of its value after three years in the local market, benefiting from Nissan's reputation for durability in extreme heat.

Performance & Capability

Equipped with a 243 mm ground clearance and a selectable Four-Wheel Drive system, the X-Terra is fully prepared for weekend desert excursions and wadi drives. The 2.5-litre engine is paired with a smooth 7-speed automatic transmission, tuned specifically for reliable performance in stop-start traffic and high-speed highway cruising. With an approach angle of 32.3 degrees, it handles steep inclines and dunes with confidence that typical crossovers cannot match.

Comfort & Cabin

The cabin is designed for the Gulf climate, featuring a powerful dual-zone climate control system with dedicated AC vents for all three rows to ensure rapid cooling during the summer. The 7-seater layout is highly flexible, with second-row seats that can be folded easily to provide access to the rear or to expand the 653-litre cargo area. Premium acoustic glass helps insulate the interior from highway wind noise and exterior heat, creating a serene environment for long family road trips.

Safety

The Platinum trim is equipped with six airbags and a comprehensive suite of active safety technologies, including Intelligent Forward Collision Warning and Emergency Braking. These systems are particularly valuable for navigating the high-speed multi-lane traffic common in Dubai and Riyadh. The inclusion of a 360° camera and moving object detection makes parking this large SUV effortless in tight urban spaces.

The bottom line

For the GCC family seeking a low-mileage, top-spec SUV that balances off-road readiness with executive-level cabin tech, this Platinum-trim X-Terra is a smart, high-retention investment.
