Summary

This 2023 Carrera GTS is a standout example of the 992 generation, offering a significant performance leap over the standard S trim with its 480 hp output. With a vehicle age of 3 years and 52,000 km, its mileage reflects a typical GCC usage pattern for a high-performance daily driver. The grey exterior is one of the strongest resale colors in the local market, ensuring long-term value retention. As a GCC-spec all-wheel-drive model, it provides exceptional stability and cooling performance suited for the region's high-speed highways and summer temperatures. For the serious enthusiast, the GTS represents the most focused version of the 911 before moving into the specialized GT department models.

This Car vs Other 2023 911s

With 52,000 km over 3 years, this 911 averages roughly 17,000 km per year, which is lower than the typical 20,000–25,000 km seen in the GCC market. Its grey exterior is highly favored in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, commanding better resale interest than brighter or non-metallic shades. The all-wheel-drive configuration is particularly desirable for local buyers seeking year-round confidence on varied road surfaces.

CARRERA GTS vs Lower Trims

The GTS adds 30 hp and 50 Nm of torque over the Carrera S, utilizing a larger turbo boost pressure and the high-performance braking system from the 911 Turbo. It comes standard with the Sport Chrono Package and a uniquely tuned PASM sport suspension that lowers the ride height by 10mm. Inside, the GTS typically features Race-Tex upholstery and enhanced sound insulation removal for a more visceral engine note.

911 vs Segment Rivals

The 911 Carrera GTS competes directly with the Audi R8 V10 and the Mercedes-AMG GT, leading both in terms of daily usability and cabin refinement. Its 2+2 seating layout provides more practical storage than its rivals, while the all-wheel-drive system ensures superior traction in the rare instances of GCC rain or sand-slicked roads. Porsche’s infotainment system remains a benchmark for responsiveness and wireless smartphone integration in this segment.

Running Costs & Resale

Service intervals for the 992 generation are generally every 15,000 km or annually, with major maintenance required every 30,000 km. Porsche boasts one of the most robust authorized service networks across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, protecting the car's resale value. The 911 historically retains its value better than almost any other luxury sports car in the GCC, with the GTS trim specifically holding a premium due to its 'sweet spot' positioning.

Performance & Capability

The 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six engine delivers 480 hp, enabling a blistering 0-100 km/h time of just 3.3 seconds. With all-wheel drive and the 8-speed PDK automatic transmission, power delivery is instantaneous, making highway overtaking effortless at any speed. The GTS suspension is specifically tuned for precision, offering a stiff but sophisticated ride that excels on the well-maintained road networks of the Emirates.

Comfort & Cabin

Despite its performance focus, the cabin features two-zone automatic climate control designed to handle extreme heat, ensuring the interior remains cool even in peak summer. The 4-seat layout provides flexibility for short family trips, while the standard sport seats offer excellent lateral support without sacrificing long-distance comfort. Acoustic glass and high-quality insulation help isolate the cabin from road noise during long trans-emirate drives.

Safety

Standard safety features include Porsche Stability Management (PSM), front and rear park assist with a reversing camera, and an advanced airbag system. This trim often includes GCC-relevant aids like blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control, which are essential for navigating fast-moving multi-lane highway traffic. The high-performance braking system, derived from the Turbo model, provides immense stopping power and fade resistance.

The bottom line

This GCC-spec Carrera GTS is the perfect choice for a buyer wanting supercar performance in a reliable, daily-usable package that holds its value better than anything else in its class.
