Summary

This Suzuki Dzire GLX offers a practical balance of modern convenience and high-efficiency commuting, finished in a resale-friendly Grey that holds its appeal in the UAE market. As the range-topping trim, the GLX features significant upgrades like keyless entry, push-button start, and alloy wheels that are often missing from the base models found in local fleets. While the mileage reflects active use consistent with a daily UAE commuter, the car's mechanical simplicity ensures long-term reliability in extreme heat. It stands out against rivals for its exceptionally low fuel consumption and compact footprint, making it an ideal choice for navigating tight city traffic in Dubai or Riyadh. For a buyer looking for a late-model sedan that prioritizes running costs without sacrificing essential modern tech, this GCC-spec GLX is a sensible and dependable opportunity.

This Car vs Other 2023 Dzires

With 110,521 km, this Dzire has been driven more than the typical 20,000–25,000 km annual average for the GCC, indicating a history of consistent highway use. Despite the higher mileage, the Grey exterior is one of the strongest resale colors in the region, ensuring better value retention compared to less common hues. This car offers the benefit of being a newer model year with the most up-to-date features of its generation while being priced competitively due to its mileage.

GLX vs Lower Trims

Choosing the GLX over the base GL trim adds high-demand features specifically valued by GCC buyers, including keyless entry and a push-button start system. The exterior is upgraded with 15-inch alloy wheels and front fog lamps, providing a more premium look and better visibility during dusty or foggy conditions. Inside, you benefit from rear parking sensors and a height-adjustable driver's seat, making daily urban driving significantly more convenient than in the entry-level variants.

Dzire vs Segment Rivals

The Dzire leads rivals like the Mitsubishi Attrage and Toyota Yaris in pure fuel efficiency, often reaching over 800 km of range from its 37-litre tank. While competitors may offer slightly larger dimensions, the Dzire’s 378-litre boot is intelligently packaged to fit more luggage than many expect from a sub-compact. Its primary advantage in the GCC remains the sheer density of the Suzuki service network, ensuring affordable parts and maintenance across every emirate and border.

Running Costs & Resale

Real-world fuel consumption typically settles around 6.0 L/100km, offering some of the lowest running costs for any petrol sedan in the GCC. Service intervals are generally every 10,000 km, and with one of the most extensive authorized service networks in the region, maintenance is both convenient and affordable. While Suzuki sedans traditionally see a higher depreciation rate than Toyota equivalents, the GLX trim and GCC-spec status help maintain a more stable price floor in the used market.

Performance & Capability

The 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine is tuned for efficiency, delivering a smooth and predictable power delivery ideal for stop-start traffic in major GCC cities. It achieves a top speed of approximately 160 km/h, maintaining stability on the highway thanks to the lightweight HEARTECT platform. The automatic transmission is designed for ease of use, ensuring that long commutes between cities like Sharjah and Dubai remain relaxed and fuel-efficient.

Comfort & Cabin

The five-seat cabin is designed to maximize interior space, offering surprisingly generous rear legroom that was increased by 55mm in this generation. To handle the intense GCC summer, the air conditioning system is engineered for rapid cooling, complemented by rear AC vents that are a critical comfort feature for passengers in this climate. The GLX trim adds steering wheel-mounted audio controls and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing for seamless hands-free operation during long highway drives.

Safety

Safety is managed by a suite of essential systems including dual front airbags and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) for controlled stopping on varied surfaces. The GLX also includes Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), which are vital for maintaining safety during high-temperature highway runs. Rear parking sensors come standard on this trim, providing extra confidence when maneuvering in congested urban parking areas.

The bottom line

For the budget-conscious commuter who wants the convenience of a top-trim sedan, this 2023 GLX offers modern features and class-leading fuel economy in a reliable, GCC-ready package.
